I stayed one night and used the bar and restaurant. The bar was a real let down. Only one very poor lager which tasted warm and watery. In the restaurant I had the buffet. Big mistake! Strange arrangement where you had to queue up and tell the chef which meat you wanted, then move onto the various waitresses you would provide and required vegetables and gravy. All were tepid and dry. Not a pleasant experience!

The room was okay but offers no air conditioning so as it was a warm evening the sleep experience was not good.

Came here on my honeymoon, the hotel room was lovely the staff were so friendly!the staff down in the spa are so lovely, I was sitting alone and one of the staff asked if i was okay and asked about my day while my husband swam, the receptionist was polite and attentive. Great room service was quick service and the food lovely perfect burgers. The bed was comfortable always clean and the shampoo and water replenished each day, breakfast service always ran smoothly and food delightful. I Would go again I was very impressed.

We stayed here whilst Coldplay were playing in Cardiff. It was easy to find from the motorway and a quick taxi trip the train station. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I did find the choice for breakfast a little disappointing but it was nice enough. Naturally you had to take the lids off the hot food, but there was no where to put the lids whilst you were holding your plate and trying to find the right utensil for the right piece of food so that made breakfast a little haphazard but nothing major in the long run. Particularly liked the art displayed on the walls in the rooms and corridors and the staff were very helpful.

Dear Alwaller1,

Thank you for your review of our hotel.

I do hope that you enjoyed your time watching Coldplay. We were extremely busy for this event due to our convenient location so close to the amenities offered at Cardiff city centre, and all of our guests were speaking of the great night they had seeing the concert.

Your comments regarding the standard of the guest rooms and artwork are well received, as we have recently refurbished all of the bedrooms within the hotel, and it is great to have such feedback.

I will take your feedback regarding the breakfast equipment on board and review this going forward. However I am pleased that overall your experience was a positive one and i do hope that we can welcome you back to the Parkway in the near future.

Kind regards

Super hotel beautiful grounds lots of fabulous flowers. Plenty of free parking. Such a spacious reception area, super relaxing coffee shop serving lunches afternoon teas. Room was pleasant with all usual facilities provided. Nice spa, pool, sauna etc. First night we ate in the restaurant meal was fabulous and wine too. However the most impressive thing about this hotel are its staff they could not have been more welcoming, helpful and friendly from reception, waitresses, spa ladies and cleaning staff. A great asset to any business i would not hesitate to stay here again
