We have at last got to Tarxien Temple having already been to many temples on Malta.
We were very pleased to see that the site had a modern weather cover over the temple done the same way as the Temples at Qrendi. At this temple there were walk ways fitted so you can see the construction but not able to get very close. We were lucky to have a guide with us but there some good books on the Temples available which we have a copy.
A good piece of history of Malta.

Thank John B

This is another must see attraction in Malta if you like history. This one is very well preserved and taken care off. It is possible to get up close to all of the significant features of the temple due to the very clever way that walkways have been constructed to give visitors access without causing damage to the temple structure.

Hidden away in a quiet suburb, this wonderful complex gives a very good idea of the construction of these temples over 5000 years ago. Directional signage to find the place needs to be improved.

These temples are not as spectacular as some others but worth viewing. We combined with pre-booked visit to hypogeum. Good combination though wish we had done in reverse order. We did not know how much time tallow for temples and allowed too much before hypogeum tour. They are not four separate temples but four in one location which can easily be viewed in 1 hour; you can get the idea in less than that.
easy 20 minute bus from Valletta to Paola.. get off at stop just beyond church with construction in front. Signage is small on street but not before you reach the appropriate street. We were told to walk to large men's clothing store Tom(?) Tailor easy to see and on the corner of street to temples.
If you have the multi site ticket it is included so why not

Fantastic history here. Signage to help you understand what you are looking at . There is an app available for an audio tour. 6 euros entry, really worth visiting if you have any interest in history. Takes you back to circa 2600 BC!. Gift shop at the entrance and clean loos too !!
