This is a historic hotel, which has its charms, but also drawbacks, like no elevator. We had to drag our bags up to the third floor. No offer of help from younger people at the desk (who were otherwise very efficient and courteous). The room was a good size and comfortable with a working air conditioner and a ceiling fan. There is a lovely verandah on the second floor which seemed a perfect place for a pre-dinner drink but turned out to be very noisy because the street facing the hotel is unexpectedly busy with a constant flow of heavy trucks.
