Description: Dominique and Philippe, the owners of the restaurant "The Yellow Lizard Cafe", warmly welcome you to their friendly hotel design is modern and local. The originality of concept consists both in cooking a la plancha, but also in the original presentation skewers which are suspended on a suitable bracket. "The lineup in all its forms" Cooking a la plancha allows to highlight the flavors of local products such as shrimp Opunohu, bluefin tuna, swordfish and mahi-mahi. It offers a perfect cooking with lamb chops, beef and chicken piece, but also vegetables that retain their crispness. Note that each skewer made at least 250 g. For dessert, besides the homemade ice cream with fresh fruit Moorea and chocolate cake, pineapple and banana are also to be plugged caramelized or flambeed in rum.

We ate here looking for a nice meal at a more reasonable price relative to the restaurants in our resort.

A quick call to our resort concierge and he was able to quickly arrange for the restaurant to send a car to pick us up at the resort. They arrived with minutes. It was a very short ride to the restaurant.

Service was good and very attentive. The server made several suggestions and answered all our questions about the menu items. I had the chicken and chorizo. My wife had the shrimp. They brought 2 skewers of shrimp for her entree. Enough that she actually wasn't able to finish all of them. My chicken was good. Only criticism I could provide is both entrees were a tad salty but we don't eat a lot of salt so take that for what it's worth. Dinner came with choice of side and your pick from several sauces. We both had coconut curry and enjoyed it. Also came with basket of bread.

We also shared a dessert, the coconut cake and scoop of ice cream. Very good.

Two entrees and dessert plus bottled water and soft drink for $66.

Would eat here again and recommend it to others.

Thank Greg P

We visited as a family (a couple plus 17 month old). The staff was very accommodating for him, as well as having a fantastic wine selection. The tuna tartare, shrimp skewers, and swordfish skewers were VERY good! We would definitely go back for another dinner if it wasn't our last night on the island.

We were a bit hesitant to go here because they do have quite an expensive menu for our midrange budget but the experience was worth every dollar. Small intimate setting, but nice and lively - the atmosphere was great. Service was fantastic, with lots of recommendations and friendly team. We got the Poisson Cru to start which was massive and the best we have had in French Polynesia - you have to try! Secondly all main meals come with a grilled fruit vege kebab, so delicious and juicy. We got the swordfish and the chicken and chorizo. Very yum! Going back for seconds (like most reviewers)!! Deserves number one spot.

The staff at this restaurant were very good. They had a fantastic taxi service with a really lovely driver who also played the guitar and sang for us at dinner. I had the moon-fish which was a bit salty. My partner had the chicken and chorizo skewer and it was also a bit salty. Overall, a pretty good experience though.

My husband and I have enjoyed dinning here for three years in a row and have always had excellent meals.
Dominique and Philip the owners are very gracious and strive to make sure your meal is perfect. Lazed Jaune has a unique favor and presentation to their menu, very different than the other restaurants one finds on Moorea. They offer transportation from The Inter Continental Hotel. The portions are generous so make sure you are hungry. The appetizers are usually large enough for two. The wine pairing are spot on too. We usually get the swordfish dish served on skewers with vegetables, served with unique sauces. We only had dessert one time, as we usually are too full. They are usually lighter and tasty. We have cafe' most of the time after our meals, which is really great too.
Book early this this is now a popular place and its not very large. Love the decor and the atmosphere. Out of all the restaurants we have gone to this is one of our two favorites.
