A couple in our 60s, on booking told the accommodation is away from main building. Advised hotel pick up from the airport. On arrival no one from the hotel, therefore we were forced to make our own way. At the hotel we were led to a room via an extremely tight spiral staircase with no hand rail, when we entered the accommodation we were shocked to see mould in the bathroom, the AC could only be classed as a fan no coffee/tea facilities a phone but no phone socket to plug into, the room was dark with one small broken window that didn't open generally the room was oppressive.
We requested a move the following morning and were relocated to a first floor garden room comprising two single beds pushed together and again no phone or other facilities one bed was so close to the wardrobe that you could not get out on that side. The wardrobe was dirty with a smashed in floor.
The bathroom window was broken the bath was cracked and there was no plug in bath or sink and yet again mould in the corners. Breakfast was repetitive and carried across the courtyard exposed to flies.

Lesbos is a great place, and the Loriet looked great on paper, but sadly didn't quite live up to the standards of the rest of the island.

A friend recommended the Loriet as a good location to stay, as we'd arrived in Lesbos for her wedding. We'd booked a "poolside cottage", but 2hen we turned up, we were ushered to an attic room, with no explanation or compensation for the change. The room was clean, but the shower was small and you couldn't open the windows or control the temperature, which got very hot during the day.

Breakfast was a buffet that often ran out, so unless you showed up early, you'd miss out on eggs, sausages, yoghurt and would have to settle for bread & cake.

The pool was nice and the hotel staff helpful, but seemed poorly organised. When our group checked out, two rooms got charged twice, so would recommend anyone staying here to check their bank statements carefully.

In fact, would recommend people stay elsewhere.

I have returned for the 3rd time to spend some wonderful time at the Loriet Hotel. Conveniently located within walking distance of the University Campus, the Status Cafe' and the Balkonaki Restaurant. Cross the road and you can swim in the Mediterranean sea. Decent breakfast, lovely grounds, clean rooms and sociable owner Julian. (Life around the pool can get noisy on sunny days though.) Lots of cats and kittens around, sharing the premises with the guests.

Great front building but our room was upstairs, getting in the room it was empty with just a bed. Not even a single table and chairs to have eat something. It smelled too....odd smell like urine (from the bathroom). We had to open all windows before being able to settle in. The phone wasn't working too and contacting the lobby we got the answer "we'll see what we can do tomorrow". The bedshits smelt too. No glasses, just two cups for tea or coffee but nowhere to make it...
Too expensive for offering nothing

The main building makes a grand first impression, a big mansion surrounded by swaying palms, directly across the main road from the water. However, your experience will depend completely on your room. Mine was upstairs in the mansion, quiet but creaky with a very old bathroom. (No hot water one night.) My colleagues were in two different buildings - one old cottage which was spacious but faced a noisy road, and a large white complex of rooms that my colleagues said were "very bad."

The big bar area is cool but empty, like hanging out in someone's living room by yourself. The restaurant was being renovated, so there was no food available, although they did offer to order us some delivery if we needed.

Service was really friendly, and I was only here for two nights for work, but given the distance from town and the odd nature of the rooms, it's hard to imagine this is the place to stay on Lesbos if you're here for a holiday.
