Lovely lodge perched on the side of a hill with great views of the valley below. Also very secluded in its own extensive grounds. Room was of a high standard and I could lie in bed and gaze out over the valley. Staff were all very helpful and they served a delicious breakfast with lots of local fruit. Supper was also delicious. And I enjoyed their trip to Addo Elephant Park. Great experience overall.

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the valley.

After 10 days of touring round this beautiful country our final destination was this quiet haven, set on a hill with a stunning outlook. The accommodation was superb, and the staff were extremely helpful, the food was delicious and our hosts were more than welcoming.

Excellent ,We would highly recommend this lodge ,Great service and good food . The game drive into Addo was a little to long !!!! .The owner was comical and great to chat to. We enjoyed the barbeque very much and better value than the African evening .

Vi stayed at the lodge for two days and found it very good for your soul and wellbeing. The last part of the drive was exiting, but we do recommend a four wheeler as the car we had. The view was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed our stay very much. All food was delicious and especially the dinner in the evenings. All the rooms/lodges offered lots of privacy, clean and cosy. Maybe a touch up would be in its place though. The staff was kind and service minded. We especially would send a our finest recommendations to Peter, brilliant on the job. We also took a half day safari to Addo which was fun and we took lots of pictures. Finally, a short stay filled with many pleasant memories, just as it should be.

The lodge is lonely located on a hill about 45 minutes drive away from the Addo park. It is a little bit old fashionable and though it is very clean the overall impression is a old fashionable out of style.
´Since the place is really remote you are literally obliged to eat the nightly dinner, which is a set 4 course menu. Unfortunately this is not a Gourmet experience and for the quality the price is overrated. What disturbed me the most was the formal stiff atmosphere which doesn't fit the surrounding of the Lodge. It was quite hot and for dinner we wanted to sit on the adjoining terrace which seamed to be a most complicated affair and only after long discussion our table was set outside. The Staff is very friendly but seamed unmotivated and seamed unable to cope with the smallest tasks. The rooms where quite nice but everything a little bit old. Unfortunately we where eaten up by Mosquito which seamed to live by thousands in our thatched roof.
We had booked 2 Safaris, 1 to Addo park organised by the Hotel, this I cannot recommend, the driver seamed quite unmotivated and the served Lunch, consisting out of ready made snacks and sweets and doesn't deserve the name food. Next time i would do the Addo tour by myself. This is easily possible and saves a lot of Money.
The second tour was the Scottia night safari, this was great- credits to the Scottia park. The Hotel had offered the drive- which we took- I think that the price is really a rib of.
For half price the experience would have been fine and fair but considering the amount they ask for I feel a little cheated and can not recommend a stay.
