Perfect for couples, families or just anyone! We have been coming here for years and would not stay anywhere else. The whole family is wonderful and are more than happy to help you with anything you need. The bungalows have their own little swimming pool dug out in the reef, close to shops, places to eat, bus stop, everything. The kids are fun to hang out with, the dogs are great and we love the chickens! Pepe and Pa are the nicest people you will ever meet, not missing everyone else of course. Cant recommend this place more!

Room Tip: Any of the 4 bungalows are great!

I stayed at the Kia Orana beach bungalows for 2 nights with my family and we had an incredible time! Right on the beach, 10min drive to town, close to local supermarket and friendly local owners. The bungalow has a fully equipped kitchen, but most importantly, beautiful views and a serene, quiet atmosphere. We didn't want to leave and would most definitely recommend Kia orana beach bungalows to friends and family.

Room Tip: Beachfront bungalows

A friend and I stayed here for 12 nights during the 1st 2 weeks of September, and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Our oceanfront bungalow had comfortable beds, storage for Stuff, a complete kitchen, a small bathroom and a covered porch with table, chairs and enough room to stash 2 bicycles. There's a grocery store within walking distance and a place to rent bicycles across the street. The Castaway and the Waterline, with reasonably-priced, nice meals, drinks and music, are both nearby. An excellent hike, Raemaru, with incredible views, begins not far away. The circle-island bus will pick you up on the main road, about 50 yards from the bungalow. The evening sun drops into the sea in front of the bungalows, between coconut palms that shade the yard separating the bungalows from the shore. It's possible to snorkel out front when the tide is up, and with good balance and careful steps you can walk all the way out to the reef. Pepe, who runs the Kia Orana, was welcoming and helpful, and her granddaughters are unbelievably pretty, polite and friendly. If you're after luxury and pampering, this is not the place, but if you want hospitable, clean, convenient and beachfront, the Kia Orana Bungalows fill the bill. Our neighbor in the next-door bungalow was on her third visit there, and I certainly hope to stay there again. The only downside was the dogs that were occasionally noisy at night, but it's a family place with family dogs and I wasn't much bothered.

Room Tip: I'd pick the beachfront bungalow to the north, or on the right-hand side as you face the lagoon, for more shade in the late afternoon.

Wow value for money, great location, beautiful sunsets, and a beach of your own. My family and friends stayed here for 18x days. There are 4x bungalows which we occupied for our time spent here. If your looking for simplicity and comfort this is the place to be. This is way better than staying at a resort as you can do anything you like here without anyone bothering you. Fully self contained units. Ideal for groups of up to 16x people or less.

Room Tip: The front bungalows have the better view.

These bungalows are right on the beach - exactly what we were looking for, away from the business of a resort. We were the only ones there for most of the time and it was so peaceful. Handy to eating places. Need a scooter for sure to give the freedom to explore the island.
