We stayed for 1 night on route to Jodhpur. This is a 16th century fort which has belonged to the same family for 16 generations. The owners are keen to keep the number of rooms small so that they can provide a personal service- which they certainly did. We were greeted by the husband and wife owners and taken to a lovely and historic suite-full of character. The views from the room were fabulous. The surrounding village is completely un spoilt by tourism and a ride around in a bullock cart is to be recommended. In the evening local singers and dancers entertained us. The food was satisfactory.
We would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a break from the busy cities and to obtain a view of what rural Rajasthan is like.More
