My boyfriend and I had sat down at another restaurant down the street, but ended up leaving with the food in a to-go box (we decided it'd be better to feed the strays than throw it away) because what they served us was absolutely inedible. We sat down outside at La Galeria and were greeted warmly by the restaurant's Italian owner, even though it was kind of late. He said he was out of gnocchi and red meat, which really wasn't a problem, because I'd rather know that the ingredients are fresh than over-ordered for the week. Anyway, our dinner was served quick, hot, and everything tasted fresh. My boyfriend loved the homemade cheesecake, and we even got to sip on some limoncello. We saw a couple other couples wandering around outside looking for dinner, and vocalized our contentment with our great find, which the owner also warmly welcomed into his restaurant.
