When approaching Relais chateau de champeaux you relize your in for a special treat. You can see it sitting majestically up on the top of the hill from miles away. after winding up the mountain your greeted by a charming village inside the castle walls.... all I could think was "this is authentic Italy", these ancient stone streets seem untouched, but yet perfect. The apartment was such a surprize, well designed spaces with full kitchen eat in area and although there were just two of us there was room for 6 to sleep, I thought it would be a magical place to bring my family back .My son would love running around the inner walls of this castle. However I was there to explore the region for painting vistas as Im an artist that teaches abroad several times a year. Its a winner.... Ill be taking groups to paint there sometime in 2014. Theyll be no shortage of gorgeous natural inspiration, and I know we'll be well taken care of by Luca, who manages the apartments, he went well out of his way to make sure every detail was attended to and helped us find local sights, shopping and restaurants. He even took the time to arrange a special visit to a local olive oil pressing, something I have always wanted to do.
