We did not stay at the hotel but took advantage of the spa to relax after a day of skiing. The atmosphere is relaxing, they provide you with towels and robes, dried fruits and fresh green apples as free snacks and some fruit infusion as hydration beverages. Two were our favourite feature: the pool under the glass pyramid with its different sprays providing good massage and the outdoor heated pool that you can access from the inside whirlpool thru a glass sliding door!! Cool! What was not really cool, the day we went, was that there were too many kids jumping into the pools and no parent od personnel was controlling them. Nice sauna and Turkish bath as well.

The hotel is comfortable and has an excellent service. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The slopes are very near and our kids loved them. The breakfast is good.

I would recomend it! For a family plan is perfect! They have their own skii rental and a shuttle that takes you to the slopes in case you don’t want to walk. They also have a discount rate with the skii school.

This is a functional hotel, the management run it their way, but there is no guest
experience what so ever, service is very poor, the reception staff are badly trained.

The beds are uncomfortable so we have all slept poor, awful mattress and pillows. Be prepared to come back to your room in the evening to discover no toilet paper and tissues, we had to call reception to ask for more. There is no complimentary water in the room, you have to pay. There are no tea and coffee making facilities either which was a real shame.

We were on half board (dinner), on the 3rd night we discover the poor quality salad and dessert station we have been having which we assumed would be included in the half board meal supplement, you have to pay extra, it's not included.

We were here for New Years Eve, 6 course meal starting at 9pm, the food was poor quality overall and took forever to be served, and the last order was being served just after midnight! Cheap sparkling wine was the only drink we were given to toast the new year, despite paying an additional supplement for this evening. Not enough staff and they don't look happy.

Internet is very poor quality, so expect to be without wi-fi often. Their response is we are in the mountains so we have bad internet, say no more.

The gym is around 20 - 25 degrees heat, you will be hot just entering, no AC. In fact the hotel is just hot generally. The food is below average. They charge 20 euros each to use the pools, sauna and steam surrounded by children. Even if you book a 90 euro spa treament, you still have to pay to use the sauna before.

Great location, but choose another hotel to stay.

Dear Guest

We're sorry you rated your holiday disappointing and with a low Value for money.
We apologize for the chambermaid's inattention and we are pleased that the reception promptly intervened to resolve. We are somewhat surprised by its negative judgment on the comfort of the rooms, the mattresses are new and of excellent quality, to ensure an excellent rest, as is often praised by guests.
Unfortunately, to date the equipement of the rooms does not include kettles and complimentary mineral water, these are suggestions that we will evaluate with the General Management, if they can be implemented in the future.
As for dinner, your half-board treatment includes a 4-course menu, including desserts. We believe that your comment is forged because on the menu are indicated prices for guests who dine à la carte.

The public areas are all air conditioned and so far we had not received reports on the temperature of the fitness room.
Regarding to the Internet access, we wish to inform you and the readers about the implementation of the system, an intervention made to guarantee a stable, fast connection in the rooms and in the common areas, however due to the geographical position and sometimes due to weather conditions, the powerful connection to which we are accustomed is not always guaranteed.
The wellness area costs € 40.00 per person, but for hotel's guests it costs is € 20.00 per person. However, we specify that on the website are available, in addition to the Standard web Tarifs also the Wellness Tarifs that already include the Spa Area, the fruit basket in the room on arrival and the daily tea to be tasted in the Hotel bar and some Packages that include the SPA card.
We also add that from 5.00 pm children are no allowed to the SPA Area to allow adults to relax.

We intend to invite you to come back to give you the opportunity to change your mind about our services, and we wish you the best wishes for a happy new year.

Beautiful location but poor hotel and terrible service. I’m very well travelled and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone now. Firstly the staff are not well trained, no personal service and attention to detail. Very bad internet and they don’t care, in fact any feedback they don’t want to know. Gym is basic but very hot with no air conditioning. Booked a ski lesson for the morning and despite turning up in reception an hour early to get ready, I was late because they don’t give you any directions or informattion pack on where to go, just terrible, we walked everywhere and kept asking.

If you want to use the sauna, steam and small pool it costs 20 euros each for basics facilities with children running around - my gym at home is better! Breakfast buffet is just the worse!! Cheap horrible quality food and lack of choice - Avoid!

Dinner is 3 star - I’d recommend eating out. The staff are too laid back and some come across lazy.
Rooms basic, such a shame to have to write all this but it’s the truth. However, location is stunning but for the cost, I would look elsewhere.

Dear Guest
We read your review and we are very sorry that you were not satisfied with the holiday in our Resort, in particular many hotel's services, normally appreciated by most guests, were not to your liking as the comfort of the rooms, the gym , the breakfast buffet.
With regard to Internet access, we would like to inform you and the readers about the implementation of the system, an intervention made to guarantee a stable, fast connection in the rooms and in the common areas, however due to the geographical position and sometimes due to weather conditions, the powerful connection to which we are accustomed is not always guaranteed.
We will verify what happened with your ski lesson, the reception staff works with us for several years, they know very well the surroundings, as well as the meeting points of the Ski Schools, so as to give precise directions, we regret that it did not happen with you. We would be pleased to welcome you as our guest again, to let you appreciate our friendliness.
with our best regards

The hotel is located in an idyllic location very close to the beginner ski area which made it convenient for me.

Booked a two night stay half board and was disappointed by the services available. After a day of skiing, it would cost one 20€ to use the pool and sauna facilities. Even when paying, children are allowed to run around making a lot of noise unattended which doesn't make for a very tranquil experience.

Bar area is small with not very comfortable couches to lounge in and the only mid day snack they serve are mini frozen pizzas and ham and cheese sandwiches.

All in all it was a pleasant experience but not worth the money paid for the hotel.

Dear Guest
We thank you for your review and for the compliments to the location of the Hotel, we regret to learn through the review your disappointment on the holiday.
The Spa Area has an additional cost, as indicated on the website.
In your case, the ticket entry to the SPA area was not included in the price of the room, as the package booked did not provide it. For guests interested in the wellness Area, we offer Wellness Packages including entrance to the SPA center, fresh fruit upon arrival, daily tea; these Packages can be booked on our online site.
To ensure relaxation to our guests, starting from 5.00 pm the Area Spa does not provide access to children.
The rooms and lounges are highly appreciated by customers, we are sorry that they were not comfortable for you. Regarding the snack at the bar, the food offering offers small pizzas, sandwiches but also piadine, toasts and cakes.
Our guests' suggestions are precious for us, we will consider your review.
We hope to welcome you soon again at Val di Luce SPA Resort.
