We always stay at the holiday inn that's 2 hotels down from here. We decided this year to try something new. Big mistake! Holiday inn has a great free breakfast and the rooms are always A+. This breakfast was frozen omlets heated and transferred into hot pans. Very
dissatisfied with this hotel. We paid $330 and it was crappy. Ceiling had water stains, cracks and looked like mold and water damage. They tried to fix the room, but looked like a really quick fix. Bedding stunk, roomed smelled of freshly sprayed deodorizer. Do not stay here. Only thing that was great was the gulf view... Which I paid extra for. Stay at the holiday inn. Way better!

rainingcardinals,
I am sorry you did not enjoy your time with us. We are a bit older than the Holiday Inn Resort and we certainly do not have the amenities that a resort has. That said, I wish we knew how unhappy you were when you were here so I could have addressed any issues you were having. It is always our goal for our guests to have a wonderful time here at the beach. This certainly is not the normal experience at our hotel and I hope if you do stay with us again you experience the wonderful visit that our guests normally have.

Gilligan's Tiki Bar - ok, so I didn't stay at the hotel, I was only at the tiki bar behind the hotel on the beach. They have a great happy hour and even offer local oysters on Wednesdays. The bartenders were friendly and accurate (Thank you, Olivia!), drinks were cold, and the view is fantastic. Great little place to hang out that's less crowded than some of the other local haunts.

Room Tip: Be polite and ask for an upgrade, ya just never know.

BranonE,
You don't have to stay at the hotel to relax at the bar! We love our locals too. It is a great little secret spot for a good cold drink, come by anytime!

On second floor looking out at beach and gulf made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Nice size room with balcony and friendly staff gave us reason to stay longer if our schedule would have allowed. Convent, could walk to restaurants and did not have to be in traffic.

We had a great stay. The staff was very helpful and the layout of the Hotel was nice. I loved the direct access to the beach and proximity to really good food. If you don't want to, you never have to leave the beach for anything. Breakfast got a little crowded but it was manageable.

Hfergie,
We do get a big breakfast crowd, I am glad we have the seating outside as well as inside to accommodate all the folks! You are right, you do not have to leave and you don't have to drive! There is everything you need right here in paradise! Hope to see you again soon!

We travel a lot and always stay with Hampton. This hotel was by far the most run down Hampton I've been in. We had stains on our bedding and long black hairs in shower. The furniture had seen better days. The chairs in dining area are ripped and torn and not enough seating as well. Best part of stay was the beach outside

Y2315IYchrisp,
We are showing our age and we are working on that! We are renovating over the next year. A hotel this size takes awhile to complete but it will be beautiful when it is complete! We get about 500 people per night staying over and that will wear out some furniture as you can imagine. That said, the view and beach are as beautiful as ever. I hope you will try us again after our reno.
