Super quick hike with a beautiful reward at the top. We saw people of all ages on this trail, but I would be extremely wary of taking small children who like to run. The drop offs are steep and there are signs everywhere saying to be careful because people have fallen to their deaths. With that being said, it is a nicely paved path to the top and my boys (7, 10 & 11) had no issues being safe. Did I mention the views? Holy moly, it is beautiful!!! I think all in all it took us about an hour round trip. You can take a stroller, but it would probably take up the entire path and piss people off.

My family didn’t have any problem hiking this, but the majority of the hike to the falls is uphill. The paved path isn’t in great shape, so a little rough for those that have strollers or small kids. It’s a relatively quick hike and a spectacular view. We got there at 7:45am and only met 1 or 2 people. I highly suggest this, bc later in the day there were people everywhere trying to park to to hike.

I have conflicting flyers on the laurel falls trail. One rates it easy and says it is paved for strollers... this is a LIE!!!!! It is a moderate hike and the trail was formerly paved... the trail is decomposing and there are lots of trip hazards. At the top there are several steep drop offs. Very pretty falls... plan for the effort and bring water.

Laurel Falls is about a 2-3 mile RT hike on a paved trail. Now just because it is paved does not mean it is easy. Most of the hike there is at an incline and the pavement is rough with significant drop offs on the left side (when hiking to the falls...right side on the way back). With the foot traffic on this trail it can be “interesting” having people walking to and from the falls.

Parking is challenging. There are about 20 spots or so but it fills quickly as this is a popular hike.

The falls are beautiful and worth checking out.

Our family doesn't hike very often, but we decided to try it out for the second time after hiking in Hawaii. It was a pretty worn down paved hike but with our family of older children, it was completely fine. If you do have young ones though, you will want to stay close by with how easy it could be to trip, slip, or fall off of the trail. It took less than an hour to reach the waterfall, and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was simple to take beautiful pictures and if you were adventurous you could climb down the rocks to stand next to the stream. The only downside to this hike would be the parking. There were only about 10 parking spaces next to the trailhead, and we ended up having to walk about 3 quarters of a mile just to get to the start. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I highly suggest you take a visit!
