We made our reservation five months ahead of our stay in July 2016. We were so pleased we did as we are travelling from New Zealand. Campgrounds were fully booked each night. Rate was $US23. Grass site with gravel drive way, tent pitching area (we stayed in a caravan/travel trailer), fire pit. Fresh drinking water faucets every couple of camp sites, numerous flushing toilet facilities. Everything was very clean. Only disadvantage was there were only four individual showers for all the campsites. We were not reliant on these as we had our own facilities in trailer. Top marks for this camp ground. It is extremely well maintained, friendly Rangers and camp host, and close to St Mary's visitors centre with excellent 24 hour WIFI. We recommend reserving in advance to secure a site.

Room Tip: Reserve in advance for the summer months

This is a fantastic campground on the east side of the park. We booked an advance reservation (which I highly recommend) and had a great experience. The campground is shaded by trees throughout, which serves as both a great sun block and also a great wind block. As tent campers, this was much appreciated! We stayed at St. Mary Campground later in the week and noticed such a difference as St. Mary is much more open. I also want to mention how quiet it was here compared to St. Mary. As a hiker who likes to go to bed early and wake up early to hit the trails, this was much appreciated!

The campground has multiple bathrooms with sinks and flush toilets, but does not include showers. However, campers can purchase shower tokens from the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn right by the campground for $2.50. Each token gets you a nice hot eight and a half minute shower. These showers are VERY clean.

Like mentioned, the campground is almost hooked to the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn and is within five minutes of the Many Glacier Hotel. Everything you need is right there! It is also very close to some of the best hiking trails in the park...Swiftcurrent Pass, Iceberg Lake, Ptarmigan Tunnell, Poia Lake, Apikuni Falls, Swiftcurrent Nature Trail, Grinnell Glacier, Cracker Lake, and so on. This will definitely be our preferred campground for future stays!

Room Tip: Try to snag a campsite on the exterior of the campground near the creek! Look at the map of the campground online to choose the best site.

Make reservations here the morning the reservation system opens! We had a site right on the Swiftcurrent River from which we could spy mountain goats and listen to the river babble all night long. Easy walk to flush toilets, camp sinks, and water. Also very easy walk to nearby Swiftcurrent Motel for showers, great restaurant, gift shop/camp store, ranger talks, and fabulous trail heads. Short drive to the Many Glacier Lodge for nicer dinners, views, boat rides, and horseback riding. Wish we'd spent more than 2 nights there!

Very peaceful, helpful staff, located close to a ranger station and just across the road from a restaurant if you don't want to cook. The tent sites are large and shady and the toilets clean. Could do with showers. Reasonably priced ($23 per night).

We had a great trip to Many Glaciers campground in June 2016. We reserved our site ahead of time, so we had no problem when we arrived. Our site was wonderful, right along the river with a beautiful mountain just beyond. The camp host was probably the best we have ever had at any campground, she was helpful and informative, and she even lent us some bear spray for our hikes! The hike up to Iceberg Lake was great. Probably our favorite campground we have ever stayed in!!

Room Tip: stay by the river for the possibility of a beaver sighting!
