A short ride from the village as well as the park entrance, this is a really good place to stay. Accommodations vary from rooms in a series of lodges ( which we did) to riverside cabins. The river flows right by, and the mountains are always there. A couple of days before our arrival a mother moose and her calf were around and warning signs were all over the place.
The rooms are comfortable, bathroom facilities are good and a coffeemaker in the room. Restaurant for breakfast and other meals a brief walk away.
Since many tour groups stop here, and virtually all leave early in the morning, it is wise to get there as early as possible to beat the long lines for breakfast. Good food and good serviceMore
