Dining options are extremely limited near Bryce Canyon. Ruby's food is average at best. If you stay across the street at the Best Western Grand, you're stay includes a fabulous hot breakfast buffet that will easily carry you through early afternoon. For dinner, take a quick ride out to Panguitch, 20 minutes away and enjoy a true western style dinner at the Cowboy Smokehouse and Cafe on Main Street. The drive back and forth through Red Canyon is magical!

We ate at Ruby's two nights in a row. We ordered from the menu, the grilled shrimp is excellent, did not try the buffet. The service is friendly and prompt. There is a limited wine list, but adequate. Very busy place, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. Conveniently located, too, with a grocery store, post office and souvenir shop in the same building.

Bryce City is not very big, choices for restaurants are limited.....with that said, we decided to dine at the Ruby's Inn Steakhouse and Buffet...and glad we did.. The food was very good, lots of variety, and great salad bar. Entrees were a good spread of meats, pastas, and veggies. Sides were good and plentiful too. Maybe a little "pricey" for some but we thought the meal was great for the location and convenience of not having to drive somewhere just to eat dinner,

Skip the buffet! $22 per person and the food was terrible. Couldn't cut the steak-very rare, chicken was ok, egg roll had no taste, rib was very fatty, salad bar was good and ice cream was good. Go to Bryce Canyon Pines!

I have been here since March and everyday I eat breakfast at Ruby's Inn Cowboy's Buffet & Steak Room. I have met just about every server, waitress/waiter in this restaurant. I order only rye toast buttered, coffee and a glass of ice water every day. Being here until June, I even have learned the names of the people that work there. Their friendly service, and personalities are amazing! I know the following servers: Melanie, Jesus, Ricardo, David, Charles, Ieluv, (sorry buddy), Diane, "Trouble", Pedro etc. and each and everyone of them are the hardest workers I have ever met. The food is great, and if you have a problem, they will fix it immediately! People grip about the prices, but look around people! You're in the middle of a vacationers dream paradise! These prices are peanuts compared to the beauty that is around us! God given beauty! These people work hard all day, on their feet for hours and depend on tips along with their pay to provide for their families! Yes, you're on vacation, want to have a good time, and not spend a lot of money....what did you expect? McDonalds, Wendys, Jack in the Box? Come on people! The food and service are great and the servers are wonderful people! Put an extra few dollars on the table so the workers can put food on their families table. Look around......the beautiful, majestic beauty speaks for itself. And no money in the world can buy it!
