I am going next week but visited it last October and prior to visiting the area with a mini coach if 16 people, 11 of whom were EU students, I arranged Afternoon Teas for everyone...delicious. Staying next week overnight and again will enjoy home baking. Visiting Loweswater and Buttermere too.

Stayed here for 1 night (3 of us on motorbikes)and found it by accident.
Good value,we had 3 single rooms (doubles really) and paid £60 each including
breakfast and found everything spot on.
We go to the lakes often and will be staying here again.

Nothing was too much trouble. Eight of us on a cycling holiday arrived in the rain. Once the bikes were put away we were offered pots of tea and somewhere to dry our stuff.
The three course meal was beautifully cooked with lots of food.
The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing with use of the sitting room overlooking the lake. I really hope I get a chance to go back.

This isn't linen napkins and room service.... it is a very friendly, home from home, in a cracking location. We were 7 walking, where we could have doubled up on rooms and made it much cheaper - as it was, we had a room each and it was still decent value. We really enjoyed the meal in - its not cheap, but was great to eat there and there were seconds of everything..... v good lamb!
We plan to use again and I will also use with the family - the self catering would be perfect....

Just arrived home after 3 wonderful days at The Grange.
We have visited for many years and always enjoyed the friendly relaxed atmosphere and really nice home ccooked meals.
The newly refurbised bedrooms have been done very tastefully.Well done Lorna and Keith.
