“A lovely place to stay in Lulworth Cove”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2012

My husband and I had just finished a professional conference in London and the Lulworth Cove area was our first stop on a two week trip through the Southwest. We stayed at Bindon Bottom for three nights and were sorry to leave. Our room, "Keats", was on the top floor with sloping ceilings and a very traditional and comfortable spirit. We felt totally at home and enjoyed the tea and cookies placed in our room every afternoon and the chocolates on our bedside table at night. Lisa and Clive were extremely friendly and helpful, always available with excellent suggestions and entertaining stories, but never pushy or intrusive. The full English breakfast was delicious and more than ample and Lisa's recommendation for dinner, Dandelion, was easily walkable and consistently excellent in quality. Lulworth Cove and the Coast Path are just down the road and we learned that if you get up early and walk steadily, you can have Durdle Door to yourself for long enough to enjoy the solitude and take wonderful photos. We rated Bindon Bottom a wonderful experience and highly recommend it to others.

We needed a couple of days break to blow the cobwebs away. Luckily we stumbled on the perfect place - Bindon Bottom, Lulworth cove. We were shown into the Barrie room, which has 2 x 4ft single beds with super soft goose down duvets and pillows, recently decorated to a high standard, everything has been thought of to make sure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. The owners Lisa and Clive provide a lovely local breakfast with lots of choice and are friendly and welcoming with lots of knowledge of the area - where to walk, places to eat etc. We certainly tried a number of their recommendations - all excellent! The area is stunning and although we were blessed with dry, sunny weather, I can imagine that those wet and windy days have a special drama about them too.
Thank you Lisa and Clive for making our stay so lovely

Room Tip: Speak to Lisa about which room would best suit you, she will want to ensure that you are comfortable...

Very well run B&B that manages to be both really friendly and super professional. Stayed in the Hardy room which was lovely and spacious, and spotlessly clean. Neal's Yard toiletries throughout were gorgeous. The daily chocolate truffles and other treats in the room were wonderful. Breakfasts were fantastic. I think it is the only cooked breakfast I've had that felt genuinely wholesome, not to mention extremely tasty; the muesli and cereals, seeds and berries were a great start to the day. Excellent place for anyone with special diets - they even had my pretty obscure milk-alternative! Just a few minutes walk from the coast and village at Lulworth Cove. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for our 'last' break away before we become parents in a couple of months and so it was important that we felt we were going to be pampered. We had read the great reviews on Trip Advisor before booking and we were not disappointed. It was very luxurious and comfortable. Lisa and Clive have thought of everything. They were so welcoming and friendly without being in any way over the top. The products in the room were lovely and we especially enjoyed the daily dose of chocolate truffles and what appeared to be homemade biscuits! The cooked breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Clive and Lisa for making our stay so enjoyable. It may be a while before we can return but we hope to find sanctuary in your B&B again one day for a weekend away once our baby is old enough to stay with grandparents!

Me and my sister stayed here Easter Wknd and had a lovely time. The owners are lovely, they can't do enough for you. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very nice, clean and the beds were sooo comfortable. There were some nice touches which you normally wouldn't get in a b&b such as a kettle, a fridge with cold milk, bottled water, a range of herbal teas and coffees, chocolates, crisps and biscuits. Also in the cupboard under the TV there was a basket with amongst other things face wipes, savlon, plasters and strepsils! I would 100% recommend staying here. If you do make sure you have dinner in the Dandelion Bistro.. The food is amazing!
