“Fantastic”
Reviewed 29 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Myself and my partner stayed with our two dogs. It was fantastic, so relaxing and peaceful, no traffic near by or any distractions from the nature a beautiful views around you. Plenty of walks (Fantastic pub within walking distance) and things to see with staying three days. There are places to see which you can drive too but we weren't to bothered with that and were enjoying our little cottage too much! The cottage it self was beautiful, comfortable and well thought out. The log fire is a magical touch. Nick the owner was very welcoming and informative. We will defiantly recommend. I cant remember the last time I have come away from a holiday so relaxed! All i would say is take it steady on approaching the cottage as the bridle path is slightly un-even, for normal cars it wouldn't be too trouble some but ours is lowered. Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you

“A cosy little cottage perfect for a getaway!”

We were very impressed by the cottage's location at an old mining site. That paired with the ever changing cornish weather meant that every morning we were treated to a different 'mood' from the sky - such a beautiful way to start the day! The cottage itself is simplicity at its best, just a living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom, but plenty of space to do whatever - reading, puzzles, games. Cooking enthusiasts will probably want to know that there isn't a lot of kitchen and so will probably want to avoid being too ambitious!

Highly recommended.

“Another Fantastic Holiday”

Our second visit to Okel Tor Mine, this time we stayed in the Count House.
Another wonderful Holiday, the accommodation though small has everything you need and really is like home from home.
Great to see regular Nuthatches just outside the window.
It is like being in your own little world and if you want a totally relaxing holiday overlooking such beautiful views then this is the place for you.
Thanks to Nick for the books and advice.
We will be back

“Ideal Place for a Getaway”
Reviewed 7 January 2016 for a stay in November 2015

This is the second time we've been to Okel Tor as the first time was so perfect. If you are looking for a cosy getaway in an idyllic location, then look no further. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday though ensure you stock up on supplies before you get there as once you're there you won't want to leave until you have to.

Perfect holiday sitting reading a book, playing a board game or completing a puzzle. I know we'll definitely be back.
