The hotel is near a busy intersection of Shinjuku. It was not far to walk to subway station and the main Shinjuku train station. Room is small but comfortable for Japanese standard. Friendly staff provided good service.

Stayed at the Tokyo Shinjuku hotel with my partner for 4 nights.. I suppose on reflection we could have choose something more upscale however the location was just fantastic.. Arriving at Shinjuku station from Narita the hotel was easy to find and about a 10 minute walk... Check in was quick we had a room on the 5th floor... Very basic and tiny although the bed was comfortable the shower worked well and the TV offered a variety of channels.. We didn't use the restaurant because there are 100s if not thousands of eating places in Shinjuku and around the city... Transport links are a few minutes walk away so getting around the city is relatively easy.. Just plan where you want to go before leaving the hotel... We had wifi so didn't use the hotel wifi either... If you want a simple base in the middle of the action the ibis is fine... If you want a little luxury then look elsewhere... Staff are nice place is clean so no real complaints taking in to account the cost of hotel rooms in Tokyo ....

Recently refurbed, you'll find the Ibis well set, and my personal favourite item, a USB charger at your bedside! Centrally located in the heart of Shinjuku, without all the expected noise of it's central location, it's certainly worth the visit.

Beds are comfy, but given the size of the rooms, if you're a couple one of you will be climbing over the other, or out the bottom of the beds as they're in against a corner. Small bathrooms also are not built for two.

Perfect for the independent traveller.

Ibis is a good basic branded hotel and this hotel is no different. Very centrally located hotel with quality refurbished rooms and friendly staff. Ideal for a 1 or 2 person short stay, you won't get better for the price.
