Stayed at Ibis for 5 nights and was pleasantly surprised that the hotel has excellent standard for service.

Checked-in was a breeze, our request for higher floor, smoke free and quieter room was granted. I was pleasantly surprised with the room facing the river, dotted with trees in vibrant autumn colors and the colorful ferry’s wheel.

Room size was great, in Japan hotel room size terms, this is generous. Coffee machine is provided with 2 coffee capsules. 2 bottle of drinking water is given, plus kettle to make tea.

Morning breakfast is well thought out, with Japanese and Western cuisine neatly laid out. Plenty of juices, tea and coffee choices. The breakfast place is clean, unlike some hotel breakfast place, where the crowd can make it messy. I’m happy with the spread as I was eating different varieties every morning.

On a rainy day, you could borrow an umbrella at Concierge. I don’t take this for granted as I was told flatly that the hotel don’t lend out umbrellas at some other hotels in Japan.

Location of the hotel is about 5 minutes from train station and 15 minutes from the Suzukino bus station where you can take a bus to Chitose Airport or Jozankei.

Famous ramen street is 10 minutes away and there are plenty of izakaya and restaurants nearby.

The hotel is so central that you can walk to Odori Park, Nakajima Park, underground shopping like Pole Town and departmental stores like Mitsukoshi. On a nice day, you can explore the surrounding are by foot and soak in the activities in town.

Definitely will come back and stay and hope that the hotel will continue to be great.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved every minute of our stay. Upon check in, we were given the 16th floor, which was the highest floor available. And what a view it was from up there! It is definitely much better than the Sapporo Clock Tower or Mt. Moira view- as you can see the entire city from our room. There is the ferris wheel in front of our window and we can actually see the beautiful mountains surrounding Sapporo.

Before we arrived, we actually requested for a higher floor, but never did we know we were honoured with such a room with a view. The fact that we were given this room shows that the reservation staff that booked us had read my booking comments in Agoda.com. and took our request seriously. Well done!

Now, for the rest of the facilities, this is a good hotel with all the mod cons that one would expect from the Accor hotels. The room was also big for Japanese standards and the furnitures relatively new. We were given good quality shampoos and moisturisers too, and they are equivalent of a 5 star hotel standard.

There is even a coffee machine in the room that saved us going down to Lawsons downstairs to buy a coffee. And then, there is the easily available vending machine on our floor when you need to buy a beer. Breakfast on the 2nd floor was good and the staff regulates the guests very orderly even if it gets full at peak hours. Food is always replenished and plentiful, even when one arrives late, and close to the closing times. For those that like to sleep in, just make sure you arrive before 10pm and you are assured of a satisfying japanese breakfast.

What impressed me most was the staff’s preparedness, and dedication to help when asked for directions. One of the days, we wanted to go to Jozankei, and the front desk staff will print the map and tell you exactly where to take the bus. On a second occasion, we asked to take the airport bus, and the staff gave us 2 printouts to show us the 2 different bus stops to take the bus. I have to say, the hotel staff are well prepared to help their guests with any questions, and where to go.

Lastly, i will rate this hotel 5 stars for its location that is close to Susukino and Nakajima Park subway. All transportation and food is within walking distance.

I’ve stayed here in the past and there are many positives-close to the subway (less than 5 minutes on foot), Lawson’s to get incidentals, walking distance to Susukino with many restaurants along the way. Great front desk staff who are friendly and a few who speak English.

Value for money and a good centralized location to most areas. I would recommend the stay in this hotel. The staffs we're all helpful. The only feedback is to allow smoking in rooms which non smokers will never like it.

My wife and I stayed at the Ibis Styles Sapporo from 27 - 30 October; I am an Accor member. During check-in, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a Deluxe King Room 1420; delighted to open the door to a large and spacious room; not just compared to other hotel rooms in Japan. The handwritten note, pack of cookies and a teddy bear was a nice touch to kick off our memorable stay !The room amenities worked well importantly the room was clean. The toilet was good-sized and similarly clean. The mattress was firm and comfy resulting in me not wanting to get of bed to start the day. I was well rested during our stay. The buffet breakfast consisted of an impressive spread of japanese and western dishes, which were replenished regularly. The delicious food was a good start to our day ahead.Nakajima Koen subway station on the Namboku Line is located 3 mins easy walk away. Coming from New Chitose Airport, the airport liner bus alights passengers near the Lawson opposite Nakajima Koen subway station's exit 1; 2 mins walk away. To get to New Chitose Airport, the airport liner bus picks up passengers at the stop very near to Vessel Inn.We appreciate that Ibis Styles Sapporo is located away from the noise and crowd found at Susukino while it is an easy walk about 8-10 mins walk to Susukino for shopping and food.We enjoyed Nakajima Park to savour its tranquility and surrounds with a pond large enough to have row boats. It was beautiful with the splendid autumn colours during the time we visited. As non-japanese speakers, communication with the hotel reception team was a breeze. They were attentive to details and responded with informative replies. Ibis Styles Sapporo has exceeded our expectations; it is our choice of hotel when we visit Sapporo again !
