Of all the budget/business hotels I stayed at during my time in Japan, this one was my favorite. This is a fantastic hotel for a female solo traveler (I believe they even have a women-only floor), and is a great base for exploring all of Kyoto.

- Location: The hotel is located on a busy Main Street near lots of shops and restaurants. There’s a Tully’s Coffee next door, and the Shijonishinotoin bus stop is right out front. The train station is only a few blocks away as well. Very safe area.

- Room: It’s small, but cozy. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is larger than many of the other budget hotels in Japan. They offer a lot of in-room amenities (hair ties, shaving cream, etc) which are a great perk. Bathtub is great for relaxing and reading a good book!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was quiet and clean, and even the lobby was adorable. I was very impressed with the value proposition of this hotel (especially compared to other budget chains like APA and MyStays), and would make it a priority to stay at a Unizo hotel on my next trip.

Good location. The hotel is fairly modern. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful when it came to luggage forwarding to our next destination. The bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was a good size but the bedroom was quite small. In room safe and fridge provided. The carpets could have been hoovered better under the desk and behind the door. The air conditioning was a little weak. We became used to having a hotel supplied travel adapter in the room, which wasn’t supplied her, but not a deal breaker. Washing facilities available, but the tumble dryer is terrible, and had to go on 7 cycles to get everything dry.

Its located in the end of main street Shijo-Dori which is at walking distance to most of the Temples and tourist attractions, public transport . The single room was tiny but compact, furnished with fridge, desk, a chair, humidifier, and a bed. Good for just sleeping. Although the room is very small bathroom space was ample, well kept and equipped.

This is the third time for a business trip to Kyoto, Japan. This is a memorable city
When I entered the Kyoto Four Karasuma UNIZO Hotel, the hotel entrance has Kyoto style decor, the hotel lobby is spacious and simple and bright, with computer and Kyoto attractions, traffic routes, transport introduction, hotel staff cordial, check-in quickly, let us soon enter room. The room rate is reasonable.
I live in a single bed smoking room type, the room air is fresh, there is a Hitachi air cleaners, so I can air every day in the room fresh, bathroom than the general business hotel, I am most happy is a bathtub, Let me return to the hotel after work can take a bath to eliminate the fatigue of the day.The room is very quiet, the quilts are very comfortable and clean, so I have a comfortable sleep every night. Hotel F has a coffee shopinside the meal and coffee is great, the hotel location is not far from the four downtown, walk about 20 minutes, the hotel outside the street with a public bus ride, the traffic is very convenient, near the hotel there are many Japanese Barbecue shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, convenience stores, supermarkets, living convenience.Opposite the hotel there is a 西洞院食堂, is a buffet Japanese-style meal, I personally like!

Room Tip: There are many small restaurants and small bars in the alley near the hotel, and it is worth to experience

Nice clean hotel. Yes, the rooms are rather small, but that is always in Japan. The hotel is on walking distance from downtown and there fore excellent. Right in front of the hotel are two bus stops, so you can travel easily (and cheap with the kyoto day pass) to all sights.

Room Tip: No need for breakfast... food all around the hotel in walking distance
