“Gorgeous house in a quiet laneway”
Reviewed 24 August 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We had a wonderful stay at Lotte’s. It is conveniently located across the road from Nijo Castle, and with easy access to the Imperial Palace, a nice big supermarket, a little Japanese rice cracker shop, and the Marutamachi Chiekoin bus stop that will essentially take you everywhere. It is a charming and traditional machiya style house, but with modern amenities, while I loved the self-filling bathtub! The house is in a quaint laneway in a nice friendly neighbourhood. We will definitely be back:) Thanks Lotte!

“Great stay in a traditional Kyoto House”
Reviewed 22 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

We spent a really great time in Lotte's Kyoto house. This traditionnal house was clean, full equiped, and really beautiful. It was easy to reach the house, which location was perfect. Furthermore, Lotte is very reactive and answers promptly to the messages.

“Lovely old house in Kyoto”
Reviewed 18 August 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Lotte’s place is an excellent base for exploring Kyoto. It’s in a great location right across the street from Nijo Castle, convenient for buses and the subway and with good grocery shopping in the neighbourhood. The place itself is cosy and has everything you need to self-cater—we shopped and cooked for ourselves most nights. Not that you need to, Kyoto is an amazing place to eat out.
