Lovely location and nice chalets set amongst the trees overlooking the Indian Ocean. Food not spectacular, but it was OK and nice to eat ouside by candlelight. Nice pool and grounds. Great base for trips out to sea to see the Blue Whales and dolphins. We'd stay there again.

The main issue at this fabulously located small complex is the fact that you HAVE to take half board and the evening meals really do leave quite a lot to be desired. It is such a shame as the restaurants / bars on Mirissa beach are generally very good. (The breakfast is fine)

We did find a way round part of the food problem and went to eat in the partner hotel (Mirissa Beach Club) where although still a buffet, there was far more choice and the quality seemed better. (Still not as good as eating in a beach bar, which we did a few times, which is a shame when you have already paid for an evening meal at your hotel)

Anyway, we loved staying here, the location is just fabulous, the grounds immaculate, the swimming pool lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and tidy (although they are getting near to needing a bit of care and attention).

I have given an overall "Average" mark purely on the evening food as it was so disappointing, and such a shame considering all the great points at this place.

I must thank Myser (working reception) for his unstinting helpfulness and smiling face. Good on you, and thanks.

Palace Mirissa offers peace and quiet from the overcrowded Mirissa beach. The bungalows are well spaced in a large park thus offering privacy without spoiling the beautiful countryside. Rooms are nicely decorated with beautiful paintings on the ceilings. However, furniture and general condition suggest need of better maintenance.
Unfortunately only half-board available. Restaurant lacks atmosphere inside. However, great setting on the lawn outside the restaurant. Food is average. Buffet in the evening. Friendly and attentive service.
Joined their whale watching trip. Wonderful experience and definitely well worth the money!!! Some places in Mirissa offer cheaper trips but when we saw their boats we were very glad to have spent a little bit more...

Room Tip: Best bungalows seems to be # 206, then # 207 and # 105. In the bungalows facing Mirissa beach your participate in loud beach parties at the weekend. Switch on A/C to cover the noise.

We were very lucky just walking in and being able to stay here for three nights. The bungalows are very nice, the view is beautiful. They have a lovely swimmingpool which is very quiet. The food is ok. This hotel is very good value for your money (70 euro HB).

First of all - brilliant location up on the point - up a steep hill but less than five minutes to the beach. All villas are well spaced apart and had a low impact feeling. Great views from every villa and have a secluded, private feel.

Very helpful front of desk staff (arranging tuk tuk and taxi at reasonable prices) and good value at 70 euro for two per night. This included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was fine but dinner was a real disappointment. Restaurant lacks atmosphere and they really make the minimum effort with the buffet that is included with the price. We ended up eating out in the evening and I think many others were doing the same.

If they made more effort with the food and played some decent music in restaurant this place could be 5* and charge double the price.
