Camel-riding in the Cotswolds - an unusual and highly enjoyable experience!
The three of us saw our camels rounded up, groomed and saddled, then we set off on an hour+ trek around the beautiful Idlicote area, high up in the Cotswolds. The views were fantastic, and the Fossett family (Mum, Dad, son and daughter) were charming and informative guides. The camels are led at all times, so no need to be nervous about controlling them - that's all done for you. No great strength or physical fitness needed - the only mildly difficult bit is getting onto your camel (which sits down for you, so it's not that hard). We're all in our 60s, and had no problems. Strawberries and champagne on our return to the farm was a very nice additional touch.
I thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for an unusual way to enjoy the Cotswold scenery.
