“Warm welcome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2012

I stayed here recently whilst attending a wedding in Kilmessan. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the new owner Pauline. There was ample off-street parking at the rear of the premises and the rooms, which were recently redecorated are immaculate and the bed lovely and comfortable. Pauline even volunteered to drive us up the town to the wedding, saving my pregnant wife and friend the walk up in high heels. Breakfast the next day was a full Irish, and was huge, delicious and served up with a smile. I have no hesitation recommending this B & B.

I stayed here as my friend was getting married in the local hotel. We had an extra person that decide to stay but we hadnt booked for them but for the b & b it was no problem and they accommodated straight away. Pauline and her staff were superb and very welcoming made us feel right at home. They have only taken over this recently and are doing an excellent job. Grt wee country pub right across the street. Breakfast was excellent and in true Irish style they fed u until u were fit to burst. I loved it and planning a weekend away very soon.

Teresa and Gerard Brennan were well-informed hosts and provided valuable information which greatly assisted with our last minute sightseeing.

One of the worst hotel/B&B experiences I have had. The Village B&B is the type of place that gives B&B’s a bad name and pushes people into generic hotels. From the moment we checked in it was made clear to us that we weren’t welcome. The cost didn’t reflect the facilities and it seemed to be run as a tick box exercise (TV proved yes but with no channels)

My mother and I stayed two nights in September at the Village B&B in Kilmessan. Our twin room was on the main floor, as I believe most or all of the rooms are, with an entrance convenient to the spacious private car park. The room itself was clean, comfortable and attractive. Teresa was at the door to welcome us even before we had a chance to knock, and quickly got us settled in. The location is ideal -- very close to the Hill of Tara and easy access to major routes in the area. Teresa directed us across the street to a local pub that serves excellent dinners (very generous portions). Breakfast was served in a lovely room at the front of the house, a building that formerly housed the local telephone exchange. We enjoyed our stay, and would certainly choose to stay there again.
