Visited this pub on the recommendation of our B&B hosts and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and the food choices were good. On the night we were there, a Thursday, it was very quiet, only one other customer, so there wasn't much "atmosphere" but the food was presented well and all four of us ate all on our plates, which is testament enough. Standard pub fare, fish and chips etc. but very tasty and reasonably priced with excellent Guinness..
