Stayed for two nights, first night was OK, 2nd night was not, I found out they were still using old bed sheets , got a very rough surface on it, feeling very bad for sleep, asked for change, but their house keeping staffs were off, so they asked me to do it by myself.

After a serious discuss, they had offered me a new room, but it was around 2300, and then they offered me to put my luggages in the old room and sleep in the new one.

Tripdvisor provided many pictures of the rooms of royal palace, very decent
and spacious but room 603 has two big tables put along the end of the bed
leaving little space to walk and a big palace style design sofa which suits a 300m room instead of a 120m, it is very homely as all furniture do not match each other, like it is a dumping ground for rejected furniture, style less! The palace style wall lamps does not fit into the small room and there are three of them hanging on the
wall. Absolutely not a palace but a hotel with unfit, oversized furniture.
The air condition has weird noise when put the speed button on high. But put on low speed is fine, cold enough at low temperatures.
The bathroom is amazing, the door only has less than one centimetre space from the sink and there is a Hugh glass with a two inch thick frame hanging above the sink, royal style. As a whole, a room with unfit furniture, do not discuss old or new.

The bedsheet, bed quality, pillow quality, bed size is of good quality, everybody should have a good sleep with a good light shielding curtain which can keep the room dark in the morning. The room is quiet.

Best located if you like Daan district, three mtr stops from 101. Repeatedly, saying to self , so convenient, how convenient, many times, so happy, indeed.

Staff are good.

Definitely, will repeatedly stay here again and again for convenience.

Stayed in Taipei for two weeks and had a great experience at the Royal Palace Hotel! The service was excellent and the location was outstanding as well!

The wifi and the food and drinks found in the rooms were all inclusive and there was even a gym on the top floor! A breakfast buffet in the morning was also included and their coffee is amazing! Very pleased with the extra amenities.

As for location, it was literally a 5 minute walk to the nearest MRT as well as SOGO! There are tons of stores and markets within walking distance of this fine lodging.

Highly recommended!

We stayed here or two nights. This is a very good hotel for its location to MRT with endless shopping and restaurants just steps away. The room is clean and spacious. The staff is very professional and helpful. Though they don't have a restaurant but the connecting Japanese theme restaurant offered a discount to the hotel guests. We ate breakfast buffet here which was excellent in term of selections and quality. The hotel is actually tucked away from the main road which provided additional privacy. They also have a coffee machine at the lobby for guest's use.

Hotel Room spacious but need upgrade especially those old carpet, Location is perfect and convenient. Consider pricing is higher than expectation.
Consider this is the boutique Hotel but staff were helpful and friendly. If you are not choosy, that would be fine. Quiet area./
