On our first trip to Taipei we stayed at the Caesar Park. It is conveniently located opposite the main train station in Taipei and also has covered access to the metro system. It is partially renovated, the newer rooms are quite jazzy and have upgraded bathrooms (we had to move rooms and went from an older style room to a newer room). The rooms are not really meant for families, however Eric the duty manager did some problem solving to get an extra bed into our room for our small 4 year old child (and he did it graciously too). The service is friendly and the room service is good and reasonably priced. It's not too hard to find someone who speaks good enuf English if needed. We will probably stay there again sometime. There is a spa, pool, gym but we didn't use them.

Room Tip: As long as you don't need a child's bed, try to get a renovated room.

The family room is small but clean. But e toilet door n bath tub looks worn out. I recommend the Japanese and Korean restaurant at the basement as e price is reasonable , taste good n comes in big portion.

Like many other reviewers,I picked this hotel for its location. There is underground access (B1 Fl.) from the hotel to the Taipei main station. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The standard room is after renovation a bit small, but clean and functional. Free Wi-Fi, big TV, in-room safe, nice bathroom.
Good buffet breakfast was included. Buffet lunch is also OK and cheap - 500 TWD.
Airport bus terminal is just in front of the hotel - 135 TWD one way.

Like many other reviewers, we picked this hotel for its location. There is underground access to the Taipei main station (with about a dozen steps). There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room is a bit on the small side but clean and functional. We used the MRT and the high speed train a fair bit during our stay. It took a few visits before we could negotiate our way out of the main station easily. It is like a giant 3D maze for those who are a little spatially challenged. The restaurant at the hotel is a bit pricey though comparatively. We took a taxi to and from the airport costing $1100 TWD each way. I do not recommend the transit bus to the main station as it is very infrequent, slow and the queue is very long.
