I booked here for 3 nights on business and after having to change travel plans, stayed for a week. I'd be happy to return. The room was spacious and never felt cramped at any time over 7 nights. The bathroom was spacious albeit a little bit of a quirky design with one end of the bath tucked in past the shower and difficult to access.

I personally found the bed a little bit firm for me, but not too troublesome. The hotel is about 7-8 mins from Taipei Main Station in a taxi if you need to access the high speed rail going South.

Breakfast was ok, mostly catered for Asian tastes, but I didn't go hungry. And if you aren't keen on what they offer, there is a Starbucks across the street and a Mr Brown Coffee store right on the corner.

A small and poorly kitted out gym, if you are a fitness freak, this place probably isn't for you.

Location wise, it's only a few minutes walk to the nearest metro stop. The Taipe metro is pretty simple to use, like most worldwide, it's colour coded for the different lines and I found it quite easy to navigate. If you do use it, each station has a number on it, the number is not a station number, it's the cost you pay to travel there from the station you are starting from. It's an extremely cheap and fast way to move around Taipei, but taxis are also pretty cheap.

Around the hotel, there is a busy main road (Nanjing East Road and Nanjing West Road) with plenty of restaurants around. There is a TGI Fridays about a 20 minute walk away (4 mins in a cab) if you aren't keen on Asian food, but lots of good Asian restaurants locally. The Brass Monkey Pub is about a 10 minute walk and an easy place to spend some time in.

Conclusion first: I would be happy to return to Green World given the rather nice room and good service, just that there are some design inadequacies in their bathroom.

Cons:
- The position of shower-head is fixed at about 4 feet. I've never seen shower-head fixed at such a low height before. This means that you cannot have a hands-free shower i.e. you may want to shower with both hands rinsing your hair but you cannot because you need to hold the shower-head with one hand above your head or totally bend down or squat down.
This is not a deal-breaker, but just something inconvenient.
- No lock on bathroom door, and the handlebar is on the verge of falling off.
- Lighting for bathroom mirror area is a bit dim. If using the make-up mirror in bathroom, it's still possible to adjust the mirror facing upwards to catch some light.
- Not enough hooks or railings in bathroom, just one hook behind door and a metal bar across glass shower door. No place to even hang hand towel.
- Breakfast average, though I like the egg/potato salad and hotdogs. On day one of breakfast, we came down at 8 am only to be told the breakfast room was fully occupied and we were asked very politely to wait for a while, or have our breakfast on the sofa. The room is not small, but there are 2 big sofa sets with its respective coffee table right in the middle of the breakfast room which took up lots of space. That's why the tables weren't enough. We suggested to the staff to feedback to hotel to replace sofas with tables, that way hotel guests won't have to wait when there isn't even a crowd.
- No need to tap room access card in the lift to gain access to room floors, but again not a deal breaker because I didn't feel unsafe. One can always secure the room with the metal chain on room door.

Pros:
- clean, spacious room
- aircon & wifi working well
- easily adjustable shower temperature
- high-tech heated toilet
- TV in front of bath tub (though I didn't try both)
- front desk able to attend to queries. Heard one front desk staff communicating in Japanese.
- hotel is 5 to 8 mins walk to Songjiang Nanjing subway. Not on the major blue or red line, but transfers are quite easy.
- convenience stores are everywhere in Taipei, but it's great to have one right downstairs next to hotel.

The room is nicely appointed and clean, plus service is efficient and organized.

The area around the hotel does not have many attractions, however, the subway is about a 7-10 minute walk to whisk you away to where you need to be. Convenient stores like 7-11 (right next door) and Hi-Mart (down the road) come in handy. Not many choices of restaurants nearby, but there is a nice Jazz club/restaurant down the block plus numerous Japanese sushi joints within the block.

Wifi access is solid.

If I had one issue, it'd be that the room included one "real" bed and then another that was actually a "roll-in" that was designed to sit in as a regular bed. Was not informed prior to arrival.

Amazing hotel with great facilities.
Definitely one of the best within a 150-200 dollars budget in Taipei. Price might be a little steep for those on the budget.

Location is off central but 10 minutes walk to the nearest mrt station (songjiang nanjing). There's a bus stop nearby too, which you can use the easycard as well. Traveling around Taipei is not difficult with a map and basic command of mandarin.

We stayed at both the exec and deluxe room during our stay. The exec room is more spacious and both rooms come with a bath tub and tv as well. Awesome especially after a long day walk around Taipei.

Breakfast spread is simple and enough to get you going for the day. Staff is very friendly and wifi is pretty good. Hotel also has a coin operated washing machine, good for those who travelled light. It's also right beside a 7-11 and Starbucks is located around the corner as well.

In all its a pretty awesome hotel for our first trip to Taiwan!

Nice big rooms, very nice bathrooms with bath, very friendly staff, reasonable prices, excellent free wifi, nice surrounding, not far from MRT. Only the breakfast is not that good, why not something like youghur or cheese/ham? But, overall It was very good!
