So, the interiors were up to expectation based on the photos. Pay a bit extra, and stay in a 5 star new hotel room equivalent (or slightly larger room). They noted request for higher floor to alleviate road noise, and for a 5 night stay, the executive room was the best room in the house, on 11 floor, large bathroom and room, corner had view of Taipei 101.
They saw it was my birthday when I checked in with passport and provided a surprise blueberry cheesecake and note. That was the nicest touch!!
Breakfast ends at 9.30 am so got overcrowded when fully booked and wasn't as extensive as other breakfasts you can get at similar style hotels, but adequate.
Good location 7 min from songjian nanjing station, which is a station which allows easy access to all the main mtr lines. Staff weren't great at English but had fluent japanese and mandarin. They were always really helpful.
Overall I loved the stay and would stay again in the same style room. Boutique feel at about 50 hotel rooms.
Note: check room size and type carefully as you get what you pay for! Make sure you have restaurants you want to go to, there aren't many good ones nearby, but metro is very convenient access to anything in taipeiMore
