I assume since the room price is on par with international brands like holidayinn, novotel or melia, you expect similar service and facilities. The room is nice and the pool is clean, the FO is efficient.
the breakfast is too simple, the food selection is limited, the fruit doesnt look freshly cut (brown bananas, frozen pappaya), at 10 am there were no coffee cups and they replaced those with paper cups - paper cups at breakfast in a 100USD++ hotel?!
pool (the selling point of the hotel since very few hotels in Taiwan have pools open at winter time)- around 7 chairs for over 150 guests, and one of the chairs is always occupied by a so-called "guard"... Nonsense...More
