We all went there for a day and realized that just one day in not enough. Mind you this is not a place where you should expect dish TV, spa centre and spacious corridors. This is small family run place at the foothills of hills. The rooms are simple yet neat, clean and adequately spacious. In short all you should expect after a long trek or safari. The toliets are clean and the food is awesome.

This is a must visit if you want a nice, quiet, soothing holiday / break from your normal routine. Hats Off Jungle hut.

It was a nice and interesting stay to relax with helpful and friendly staff. Food was excellent, the 96 years old Mahindra "Jungle King" amazing, the guide well educated. Our daughter Manya loved to be there wishes to visist Jungle Hut again as soon as possible.

We stayed at the Jungle Hut with our two adult children in the middle of March, 2012. We booked the deluxe rooms and were not disappointed. They were spacious and clean. The owners and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were great and the staff accommodated personal requests and dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, because of the fire hazard in the area, there were restrictions on entry into the nature reserve. However, the staff provided alternatives which suited us fine. We saw lots of wildlife but no tigers. Tigers could be heard the first night according to the staff. We hoped to hear them the second night but the music from the bar area prevented that. This would be our only complaint. We enjoyed being able to access the swimming pool. We would highly recommend the Jungle Hut.

We spent 2 nights / 3 days over the past weekend (end March). It was an absolutely fabulous stay! The location of Jungle Hut is supreme as it is just below the hills. In fact, the property has a very well-maintained pool that overlooks the hills (and this was just perfect for the hot summer days). The rooms are very spacious, clean, cool (with a/c options). There's hot-water available at all times. The cottages are spaced out very well over the property and hence its a very open feel. There's deer and sheep roaming around the place at all times, making it even more scenic. Great place for the kids to run around and have a good time!
The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh and hot with tons of options. Anushri and Jerusha made our stay memorable with their extremely cordial and personal touch. In fact, we were asked our food preferences (veg / non-veg and multiple options in non-veg) on the phone while were driving enroute to the place. Everything was available in abundance.
I would recommend this place during any season (I would be hoping to make more trips during the monsoons, just post-monsoon, and then December).

we had 2 nights here on a motorbike tour in march. the staff were very attentive and nothing seemed too much for them. rooms are basic but spacious with everything we needed. the rooms are also very clean, rooms are serviced daily if you want. food and drink were first class, first night we ate in the restaurant, lovelly. second night we had a barbecue cooked for us, also lovelly.
it's in a good location, we spent part of our first day touring the tiger reserve, no tigers seen though. second day we rode up the hairpins to ooty hill station and dottabetta. then rode back in time to see the elephant feeding.
a nice clean, tidy and friendly place to stay

Room Tip: they all seemed the same
