“Great Place for relax”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2011

We have been at The Trees for 5 nights and I wished I stayed more.
The residence is located in a very quite place and the rooms are really wonderful with a lot of space as well as complete with everything you may need for a long stay (including a washing machine). There are two TV sets and DVD/Usb player if you wish to watch your own movies.
To complete there is a nice pool, sauna, small gym and even a squash field!

They also provided us with bed sheets to use for my daughter bedding (on the sofa) without extra charge.

We have been there in low season and we got a very good deal on the price, we paid almost the same price for another hotel in Kamala that was not over a third of the space of the one we stayed at The Trees.

The only drawback is the distance from the beach and the town but either by using their taxi service or, better, hiring a motorbike or a car (car rental is very cheap and much safer than motorbike) we had a wonderful time there and been able to go around Phuket without problem.

I highly recommed this place.

The Trees Club Resort is a nice hotel quite far from the beach (approx. 2 km?) , but they have a shuttle bus that you can use for free during the day time (between 10-14, I think) and other times it's 50THB per person. The shuttle bus works quite well, although we had twice problems getting it to come during night time.

We stayed in the smallest room (it was 64 square meters!!), nicely designed with all the basic equipment. Our room had a small terrace that had no view at all (ground floor). If you go there, request a view!

The staff is very helpful! We didn't rent motorcycles or cars, but you can do it from the hotel. They also have taxi service to the airport (so I guess they should have a pickup service aswell?).

In December 2009, we stayed in this beautiful secluded resort in Kamala. We had a deluxe 1 bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen, living room with sofa and flat screen television, seperate bedroom with queen sized bed and build-in cupboards and a large bathroom with walk-in shower and washing machine. The resort is brand new and looks really clean and modern. The staff is friendly and helpfull. There's a large swimming pool and small fitness corner on the grounds of this resort. As we don't really like to drive a motorcycle or car in Thailand, we were really happy there was a shuttle bus to bring uys around for a small fee. When you called in, they would pick you up where ever you are on the island, really easy! We toke breakfast every morning on the terrace next to the swimming pool. They serve freshly made orange juice, eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, etc. We really felt at home at the Trees Residence!

nice apartment with pretty good furnishing. no pots and pans though cups and plates provided.

would definitely need a car/motorbike to get anywhere though. we walked from kamala beach to the apartment...would say it takes 45 mins!!! imagine in the hot sun.
we had called one night for transport at the apartment (they charge I think 100 baht for two persons each way) but couldn't reach anyone and had to walk back all the way..pretty dark on the street and got a lot of mosquito bites.

could stay there again if rates are reasonable but would need to rent a car for sure. not recommended if you want to be minutes from beach.

I booked a studio apartment for three days.

The first incident which led my partner and I to realise that the location was inconvenient, was that the airport transfer driver was not able to find the place and when he did, he was intimidated by the steep slope which he had to drive up to reach the resort. He didn't drive up in the end and I made him call the hotel to fetch us.

Trees Club does not provide airport transfer. You have to make your own way there and the map on their website is misleading.

The resort isn't a resort per se, more like serviced apartments. We found out during our stay that the apartments were for sale.

There was a kitchen in the apartment and we decided to cook breakfast since our package did not include any. We were told upon arrival that we could utilise the kitchen and all we had to do was to call reception for the pans and what not.

So we did that the next morning and it took almost 3 hours for them to deliver it to us! I was also told off by one of the staff that "a kitchen in the studio doesn't mean you can use it to cook".

Anyway, we did get what we were waiting for because they had went to purchase new pans, pots, plates and etc, which I think was very good effort on their part.

Getting to the room from the reception was quite a hassle because our room was located on another steep slope, so we had to be transported there by car.

Getting to Kamala Beach from the resort was ok because they provide a shuttle service that brings you to and fro on your beck and call, but costs 50 baht per person per way. We rented a car the next day, so it wasn't much of a big deal afterwards.

The reception helped us with the rental by arranging for the car to be sent and so on.

Besides the inconvenient location as it was secluded and quite a pain to get to, the studio is lovely. It is spick and span, and quiet. Going back to your room felt like going home.

The basic studio is huge with a spotlessly clean bathroom, kitchen, bed and drawers.

I would recommend this place to couples and families who don't mind being transported to Kamala Beach by shuttle each time they want to go out.

Best alternative is to rent a car and since many tourists do so in Phuket, why not?
