This hotel is good. Don't get me wrong.. but i just did not felt like at home.. Disapointing breakfast and pool, no private beach. Small pool, too small for Thailland.

Nice view on the sea.. but at bit faar from animation..

It just not was my place.. there are some way better places to stay on phuket, maybe more south direction of Kata noi...

We have just returned from a 11 night stay at Cape Sienna. The hotel offers all the main amenities such as pools, restaurants, bars, gym and day spa. During the day the Sienna Rocks pool was our favourite, mainly to the intamacy but with a view to die for. Nearly every evening we met with our traveling partners (another couple) at the Vanilla Sky bar to take advantage of the happy hour between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm. This bar provided the perfect setting to close the day and start the night. There was a lovely breeze which provided us all with some relief from the days heat. Don't visit this hotel without at least 1 happy hour at this venue.
We also ate at Cape Sienna's 'Plum' where the 980 baht per head limited set menu was extremely good value for the quality of the meal. Plum was however surprisingly quiet each night.
We viewed a jacuzzi room prior to deciding whether we should purchase an upgrade and believe we did make the correct decision not to do this. We had a standard view room in building 1 (rom 1204) which had beautiful views over the water and of Kamala Beach and doubt we would have made enough use of the jacuzzi. There is also a walk up a few stairs from building 1 to the pool and breakfast area but no huge deal.
Kamala Beach is not the best location in Phuket however it does provide great access to Patong and Surin where the Catch Beach Club is really funky for a cocktail at night time. Having said that we did eat on the beach at Kamala numerous times which was great value and enjoyable. Cape Sienna provided the perfect relaxed haven to go back to after a day out, or alternatively you could stay at the hotel all day and be very content.
We would rate this hotel one of the best value hotels we have stayed at throughout the world and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We have just returned from a wonderful 8 nights at Cape Sienna. We had a jacuzzi room on the 4th floor in block 6. Beautiful big room with sensational views and the shower with a view was an unexpected bonus. The staff were great and the room was cleaned to a high standard each day. Beautiful quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The walk to Kamala Beach was easy and the food at the restaurants on the beach was good value. Massage on beach every day - bliss! If you're after a relaxed party free area Kamala is the place and we would certainly visit again.

One note - I have read a number of comments from people saying that the English of the staff at Cape Sienna was limited which I certainly did not find the case. Come on folks take the time to go on the internet and learn some basic words and sentences of the language wherever you are traveling. English speaking travelers are not the only visitors to Thailand and we have found the locals anywhere in the world really appreciate the effort and respect of travelers learning greetings and phrases.

Thanks you Cape Sienna for a sensational stay!

We stayed as a couple in late march/early april for a week. We stayed 2 nights in the sea-view delux, and 6 nights in the Jacuzzi room. The big negative thing about both rooms was the bathroom SINK. HORRIBLE! The delux room had a big bowl type sink, and a water tap incapable of fine water pressure adjustment. Basically, the water would splash all around the sink when you would increase it slightly. The Jacuzzi room had even a worse sink, or at least our room did. The sink was so Shallow that it was impossible to wash your hands there without hitting the bottom of the sink. The sink was also slanted, in a way that once you would increase the water pressure a lil bit more within bound of reason, the water would splash all over your body. Basically, the rooms had horrible sinks, something for management to take care of.
Positive:
-Lobby and both rooms had a BREATHTAKING view toward the ocean, very soothing
-No children
-very thorough buffet breakfast on poolside everyday. Make sure you book your room BREAKFAST INCLUDED
-Very nice spa with professional massage therapists. We had massage there twice, and it was great. Too bad we discovered the spa on our last two days of stay.
-Nice Jacuzzi pools in "Sienna Rocks", which is across the street 5 minutes away, facing the ocean. There is also a bar there, however, when we ordered our drinks, the drinks were very low on alcohol, as if the bar was trying to save money on alcohol by putting a couple of drops in the the mojitos only.
-The bath/shower in the rooms were designed very nicely. The bath in the jacuzzi room was facing the ocean, separated by a glass and a shade, which we liked very much when taking a shower.
-rooms had complimentary instant coffee/tea with an electric pot to boil water
- Good night notes on bed every night when we would come back
-The food was very good in "POOLSIDE RESTAURANT". The dishes were somewhere between 8-15 US dollar, but they were of good quality.
-Staff was very friendly
-VERY GOOD HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE. basically, anytime we would get out, housekeeping would have taken care of the room before we came back, multiple times a day.

Negatives:
-None of the elevators had Air conditioning, which was terrible especially when you barely get to the hotel after spending an entire day in the hot tropical weather of phuket, and while you are looking forward to get some cool air in the hotel, be ready for a surprise, cos the temperature actually goes up against your wish in the elevator. Elevators without AC is really not on par with other standards of the hotel.

- I already wrote about the horrible sinks in the room
- the hotel charges for in town phone calls, "but calls between rooms are free!", yes, thanks, but who was going to call other rooms in the hotel when we are tourists in phuket? We had made about maybe 20 minutes of phone call to our tour leader, and ended up paying about 15 US dollar just for in town phone calls. Never made international phone calls! . What a rip off!

Room Tip: Book with Breakfast for sure. Ask management to give you the highest floor possible.

We stayed here for 9 nights in April 2012 and loved every minute. The views from the reception and pool areas were beautiful and gave you a relaxed feel about the place. We had a standard room 3101 which was close to reception and pool areas. The only thing negative I could say about the room was it had power lines spoiling the view from our balcony, but If you went up one floor it would be good. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We especially enjoyed talking to Yut at breakfast and his knowledge and advice on things to do was helpful. We did two snorkelling tours, Phi Phi tour was great, Similian Island was too long a day (3 hrs travel each way) and the snorkelling wasn't any better than at Phi Phi. Loved Kamala beach, you have everything 5 mins walk from the hotel. Lovely people, relaxed shopping , restaurants, beach and massages for $10 hour. We hired a scooter $10 a day and checked out Surin beach and Liam Sing beach both lovely. We would highly recommend Cape Sienna and Kamala beach , the pefect place to relax . Cant wait to go back.
