We stayed 2 nights in Rhino lodge and the experience was wonderful. Good location, nice garden, good food, attentive staff and comfortable room with A/C. The hotel also arranges package tours/safaris. Our guide was professional and very knowledgeable. Chitwan national park is a truly beautiful place and we would definitely come back again to see more animals.

The location of the lodge was excellent right by the river with the elephants wandering through to go for their bathing. Also situated near to shops and bars but very peaceful. Room was OK but basic - clean and we were provided with mosquito deterrents. Beer was very cheap and the food was OK but not much choice. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. No credit card facilities

I am not kidding. I thought it was an April Fool when people said that a rhino walked through every night. I saw him! Elephants too. They even look through the window of the restaurant while you are eating chips. Did I mention the chips? Steak cut real chips! But rest of food lukewarm and they make no effort if you are not in a group. The plumbing in the rooms is a bit iffy. The rooms are clean but basic with tired furniture.. Wifi good. They don't care if you hang laundry out to dry. Lots of places to buy good souvenirs in the main street as elephants wander by. Amazing experience to stay. Near river and nice gardens. I have stayed here twice. The first time, the hotel next door had a wedding and it was very noisy which scared away the wildlife.

Room tip: Go to the place opposite for cheaper laundry service.

Nice lodge, basic but quiet and clean rooms, very friendly staff, good breakfast, beautiful garden with direct access to the Rapti River from where you can take a long walk without guide. In addition to the National Park, I recommend a bicycle ride to the Community Park (you need a guide and to rent a bike), where you can also see many animals.
