We really enjoyed our stay at Heritage Coorg resort. We were traveling with kids and seniors and this was one of our most memorable trips!
The location was stunning, amongst lush green plantations and surrounded with several peaks and valleys. The cottages were spacious, right sized for 3 adults, clean and well equipped. They had high quality accessories and toiletries for our use.
The best part of our stay was the premium service, love, care and attention that we received during our entire stay in every aspect of our stay including room service and reception.
The restaurant met every single need of ours. We had several dietary restrictions and were worried our younger kids won’t have too many options with their food allergies. However the head chef Laxman, Food and Beverage manager Shiva and Akshay, and the entire staff (specifically Pavan) were at our service to ensure that we were taken care of for all meals. They made non-spicy food for the kids, as well as gluten free and nut free food for the people with allergies. The variety was great, and all of this always with a smile on their face.
Santosh (the activity manager) and Vinod (overall operations manager) made sure all adults and kids were engaged. Highly recommend the hike to a local waterfall called Vanchal falls (one of the best we’ve done in a while) and for the fitter ones, a hike to the peaks for...We really enjoyed our stay at Heritage Coorg resort. Highly recommend the hike to a local waterfall called Vanchal falls (one of the best we’ve done in a while) and for the fitter ones, a hike to the peaks for some breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys. Vinod took us around on a nature walk showing us the coffee and spice plantations on the property itself. Kids enjoyed the game room, rifle shooting and swimming on the property (and of course the delicious deserts).
If I were to find one area of improvement, if at all, it’s access for people with walking disabilities. It was hard to be mobile (from room to restaurant and back) without using stairs. And the pathway is steep (due to the natural topography). It would be great if they could consider making modifications for older seniors.
Overall a 5 star review for a 5 star resort!More
