Highly recommend this restaurant. Three course menu as well as Canapés, home baked sourdough and champagne. Exquisite food. We couldn't fault it. Terrine of Smoked salmon or Salad of Beetroot with whipped goats cheese etc-divine! Both mains- Market Fish and Rump of Lamb were perfectly cooked. To Finish- Passionfruit soufflé with homemade ice cream or Cheese platter with date relish- mmmmm delicious. Excellent, professional, friendly service. Had a chat with the chef afterwards and it is obvious he loves his job. A wonderful way to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Thank you Bracu!

First visit to this well regarded venue. Stunning environment hidden just beyond the motorway within easy reach of Auckland. Beautiful, delicious cuisine in an elegant villa surrounded by lush olive tress on rolling hills. Great wine recommendations from Michael and flawless hospitality from Stephanie, whose grace and professionalism was the crown in this jewel!

First visit to this restaurant with friends 2 days ago , was very impressed with the place , beautiful restaurant in a middle of olive trees as they produce their own olive oil and products , a very cosy decoration , the choice of the dishes are limited but what a wonderful experience , I had a salmon and crayfish terrine , amazing presentation and a deligh for the palate , followed with lamb with yogurt and dattes , great choice , food was really excellent , what more to say , a fantastic restaurant , staff is very well trained and pay attention to every details . There are not much choices in the area and this place is really great , defenetly will go back on my next trip to New Zealand .

Had a wonderful birthday lunch here recently. The venue is not easy to find so thank goodness for my GPS.
Set among olive trees its quiet and the building was warm and inviting a real fire in one of the rooms we sat on the back veranda which had afternoon sun and the clear shades so we could see out but were not cold at all.
Staff were excellent knew the menu well and were available when needed but not hovering.
We had the set menu as the treat was a grab one voucher from our son. There was a choice of items on the set menu.
Starting with some bubbles and a selection of canapés including some jumbo hot olives (not from the olive grove here) followed by a salmon terrine which was beautifully presented the salmon stacked with crayfish and baby leeks wrapped in prosciutto was a wonderful starter.
Lamb followed with kale, neither of us are a fan of kale (I don’t actually know anyone that eats it) and are surprised its made it onto fine dining restaurants as it’s always tough and hard to get rid of so that was the only thing left on the plate a side of green beans complimented the lamb.
Dessert for me was a berry soufflé and home-made vanilla ice cream, delicious. My husband opted for a cheese plate, the cheese was two small varieties and two flat bread crackers, one was a bit overpowering for the cheese but the chees was the right temperature and tasty.
All in all a very nice meal and very well presented.
Highly recommended, it’s expensive so you would only go if it was a special occasion but this is fine dining and you get what you pay for or in this case what my son paid for.
On leaving the restaurant the restaurant manager presented me with a gift of some of their hand cream and shower gel made with the olive oil from the estate which was a very nice touch.
Compliments to the Chefs who prepared our meals.

Bracu ia a fabulous restaurant. I'm fortunate enough to be a local but even if I wasn't it is definitely worth a journey to eat here. The menu was well thought out and the wine selection compliments the dishes. The setting accommodates a romantic dinner or a group of friends. Their olive oil is delicious and as for the passionfruit souffle for dessert - WOW.
