Pleasant stay

Forest escape resort is one of the best resort from koyana. The staff was very helpful and service is also good.
Rooms are very neat and clean. Food was very nice in taste but costly. Overall good experience to stay close to nature.

Excellent escape to the forest!

1. Good parking space. However if you have someone old with walking problems then please note that there's a steep gradient if you're staying either in pool villa, pool cottage, plumeria or Magnolia to walk to reception / dining area. But if you're in regular rooms then nothing to worry.
2. Staff is courteous and very helpful. They aren't some graduates from hotel management but much much better in service and food quality because they simply care for you!
3. They've activities like archery, billiards, carrom, badminton, table tennis, swimming and are available subject to pandemic norms.
4. If you're for business, vodafone and jio works. Nothing else.
5. When you check in, please check if the intercom (phone) is working.
6. Carry a stick with you while walking - friendly dogs, not so friendly snakes, if you're lucky then a peacock or two and some occasional growls in the night - but overall it's safe and this is exactly what some of us would desire
7. Enjoy climbing up on their machan which is in front of Magnolia rooms (for photography lovers this is your spot)

Serene place in the lap of mother nature

unexplored by many,koynanagar and the surroundings offers a great deal for all sorts of tourists..From backpackers to adventure enthusiasts,from luxury stays to transit hotels joyna is a bag filled with surprises!!

One Night Stay at Forest Escape Koyna

Beautiful and well maintained property. Nice ambiance. Excellent hospitality and very generous & helpful staff. good quality food. One recommendation is increase verity of Veg & Jain food. Night & morning jungle walks are very enjoyable & informative.

Great place, food is just OK

Good things first...
The resort is quite nice and peaceful for a one time visit, we stayed in Forest Villa with pool.
Waking up to the birds chirping in the morning and right in the middle of the forest is something to look for. Booking was simple and easy process, Pooja is quite helpful.
Rooms are good, clean, spacious and the pool was a highlight for the kids. Clean towels, napkins and basic amenities are provided. Extra bedding upon request and chairs were also provided by the housekeeping.

The self Barbeque was a good experience too, resort provides the marinated food and the barbeque near the room for a price... kids really enjoyed the panner and veggies.

Staff is quite attentive and helpful.

We drove from Mumbai... the last 30 KMS of road is really bad with good pockets. The road is under construction.

Restaurant needs to provide options. They have very limited menu and the breakfast is quite sad.
Whatever they cook is nice and tasty, but with just 2/3 options. Upma/poha/egg omlette and bread were the only options we got on the second day breakfast. First day had additionally idli and puri bhaji.
Veg lunch/dinner options are also quite limited.
One can drive down to their other property Riverside Inn restaurant, but there also lunch is only thalis and the food is super spicy.
Also the food is quite expensive in the resort with limited choices.

A lot of options for sightseeing are available, but not worth the price. Fishing, Trek, Jungle visit are the ones we opted for. The experience was just OK, nothing good or bad to talk about.
