We booked this place for our anniversary and were wee bit apprehensive reading the mixed reviews. We were however not disappointed at all. The property is huge and well maintained. The pool area or “hathi kund” was soo pretty that you would want to spend your entire stay in and around that place.
The approach to the property is the only glitch. It is set in a remote area with limited transfer options.
Once we reached , everything was seamless. The check in was smooth, we were welcomed with a drink.
The rooms are spacious and well heated. I was not sure of the room heating arrangements and we were prepared for bone-biting chill but were pleasantly surprised on the warmth of the room. The toiletries are of FOREST ESSENTIALS, which was a big thumbs-up.
The rate at which we got the hotel was full- board. The breakfast and lunch buffet options were limited but we found the food to be quite tasty. The hotel arranges outdoor tandoor themed dinner on alternate nights and it was nice change to break the monotony of the place. The food offered here was also really good as was the service.
We had booked the safari tour from the hotel staff Mr Rajveer and did not face any glitch. It would be prudent to book the safari beforehand.
Transfers to the station and back can be arranged from the front desk (INR 800) per trip.
