Staying at Grand Park is a truly outstanding experience. We just returned from a blssful stay of four nights at this excellent resort.
We were met at the airport and whisked by speedboat to the resort where we received a warm welcome from the wonderfully friendly and well-trained staff. We were taken by buggy around the resort and then to our villa where check-in was completed.
We were staying in an Ocean Water Villa. The villa is large and beautifully decorated with a fantastic bathroom with both shower and bathtub. The private balcony was our favourite place. For the first three nights we had no neighbours either side and it felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves. Lying on the comfy loungers looking out on the vast turquoise Indian Ocean is a memory that will stay with us for a very long time. The marine life is abundant both around and below you in the villa. One negative point which I saw on another review and would agree with, is that the handrails on the stairs going into the water finish much too high. The last few steps are very slippery and it is quite tricky to get safely down into the water.
There are several different areas of beach and during our time there, they were almost deserted. The infinity pool at The Breeze is a wonderful spot to watch the beautiful sunsets.
The extensive breakfast is excellent with a wonderful choice of seating overlooking the ocean. One morning we were lucky to see a pod of dolphins swim past as we enjoyed the delicious range of food on offer.
All of the staff are friendly and helpful and keen to chat.
We are not that keen on water activities but we checked them out and thought that they were very expensive.
It would be nice if there were some retail outlets within the resort, just for basics and souvenirs perhaps.
I would recommend this resort for anyone looking for a touch of luxury in a truly beautiful setting.
