“Great location, pretty good food”

My lovely wife and I ate here a few times during our stay at Patnem beach. It's a chilled out kind of place with nice food, cold beer, ambient music and candle lit tables right on the beach. The menu is lacking in local Goan dishes but that seems to be the case at many of the beachfront restaurants around here. They have a good selection of other Indian dishes though many of them are strangely northern staples rather than southern specialities. The friendly waiters inevitably push the freshly caught seafood which includes things like snapper, pomfret, super-sized prawns, lobster and squid. We tried the red snapper one evening. It cost 900 rupees but was enough to serve two people. Items on the regular menu are around 200 rupees for veg items and 300 rupees for non-veg. Cheap by western standards but a bit pricey compared to local norms but that's understandable given the prime location. Everything we tried was pretty good. If you fancy a beer, a large Kingfisher costs 100 rupees. Cocktails are also available with two for one offers during happy hour around sunset.

I have been here for seven out the past ten days in Goa. And most evenings too. The staff and management have looked after me like gold. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Service, food, drinks and cocktails are all top drawer. Well done guys. Can’t wait to see you again next year.

Wonderful spot on beautiful Patnem Beach! Lovely clean huts with super thick comfy mattresses. Great restaurant serving a large selection of seafood, indian and european dishes. Very helpful friendly staff. Also - very important - a super clean toilet! A lovely place to chill.

Last night in Goa. Tried the traditional goan fish curry... delicious. Also had a lovely paneer kadhai. Food and service were both very good. Big choice on the menu too if curry is not your thing

At Patnem this is one location you would want to avoid especially when it comes to food. The restaurant is run by amateurish chefs and our breakfast was the worst we had in a long time. The Spanish Omelet were not spanish omelets. The Pan Cakes resembled a half cooked dosa ... so you get it! Head to Om Shanti or Casa Festa instead.
