My lovely wife and I ate here a few times during our stay at Patnem beach. It's a chilled out kind of place with nice food, cold beer, ambient music and candle lit tables right on the beach. The menu is lacking in local Goan dishes but that seems to be the case at many of the beachfront restaurants around here. They have a good selection of other Indian dishes though many of them are strangely northern staples rather than southern specialities. The friendly waiters inevitably push the freshly caught seafood which includes things like snapper, pomfret, super-sized prawns, lobster and squid. We tried the red snapper one evening. It cost 900 rupees but was enough to serve two people. Items on the regular menu are around 200 rupees for veg items and 300 rupees for non-veg. Cheap by western standards but a bit pricey compared to local norms but that's understandable given the prime location. Everything we tried was pretty good. If you fancy a beer, a large Kingfisher costs 100 rupees. Cocktails are also available with two for one offers during happy hour around sunset.
