while my wife was horse riding and my daughter was making aquantiance with a little pony for the first time, my son and I decided to find out more info about the restaurant just up the hill, overlooking the tracks.
the managament now is in the hands of the same team of the LA BOTTE located in the centre of Sestola.
After finding out the pizzas are made exactly like the ones at La Botte (my personal favourite, although you have to like the receipe being different from the regular pizza), they told us they were offering also a regular menu with local receipes so we decided to have lunch there the very same day
Everything we ordered (with the exception of the Gramigna al Ragu pasta which, to be honest, was too creamy for me) from Tagliatelle with Porcini mushrooms, to Spätzle with Gorgonzola cheese and walnuts, to fried Baccalà fish (cod), to Cotoletta alla Milanese with fries (Wiener Schnitzel) were simply great so the whole family enjoyed it.
you can have nice beers and the place offers alfresco dining also for large groups
the service is family style but nevertheless kind and prompt
will definitely go back
