“Very comfortable. Lovely views. And well placed for the beautiful area.”
Reviewed 21 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This is a lovely apartment. Very comfortable family area and bedrooms. The photo doesn't really do it justice with the garden that backs onto the river. From the apartment, there are lovely short walks along the river and into West Tanfield. And then you have the whole of the Dales to explore as well. Thoroughly enjoyable.

“An Absolute Gem”
Reviewed 21 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

The Lounge and Kitchen is spacious, very light and comfortable. There are views across the Vale of Mowbray to the North and towards the Village to the West. The ebb and flow of the sheep in the fields around gives constantly changeable vistas.

The beds are incredibly comfortable and the bathroom high quality and roomy.
A Riverside terrace on the property and walks along the river banks are further bonuses.
There are great Pubs in the village and a very friendly village Shop/Post Office..

Our need for a pet friendly base led us to River View, Thank goodness for Pets otherwise we would probably not discovered this Gem.

“Yorkshire Tranquility”
Reviewed 2 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

A perfect property with all the facilities needed to make our stay enjoyable. Situated in an ideal location for us to be able to explore the moors and dales. Just a pity we did not have more time to just chill out in the garden and make use of the facilities. Very centrally located for the local shop and within easy walking to the pub.

“Beautifully appointed apartment with fabulous view of River Ure.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 for a stay in September 2013

We had a glorious weekend In West Tanfield. Great places to visit locally are Ripon Cathedral, Masham; especially the sheep fair and Bedale. Quiet roads for cycling and the river is suitable for kayaking. We had 92 year old grandpa with us who managed the stairs up to the apartment without a problem. We were made to feel very welcome. Thanks Helen
