“Wild in every aspect - wear the right attitude to enjoy this!”

Hats off that this resort is actually run at all odds! It's a wonder how they could build all this while it takes a 35 minute arduous drive to reach there covering 3.5 km. No wired communication or power. It's all out if thin air and diesel. So kudos to the team that runs this. Nature is at its best. You get a perfect warm welcome. Go there to reach after a gripping ride, relax in a nonchalant way, laze around, eat what you get, don't complain for small inconveniences like broken tub in the bathroom, a shower takes minimum twenty minutes since the water pressure is low, etc. (remember, power is generated from diesel gensets) and enjoy your stay there! Go there to be there, enjoy nature, it's quite safe though you are in wilderness. Don't go if you have plans to see places keeping this as base. Take a high suspension vehicle. Does not score high for value-for-money enthusiasts! And before I forget to tell you, be prepared to check out at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Certain things here work on clock work precision, though at times the morning coffee you order may never come! All in all if you want a safe place with decent comforts in the midst of a jungle, and want to enjoy the secluded wilderness, this is a decent option! But you know what, both the price and climb to this place are too steep for what it offers! Good luck folks!

First of all, it is a harrowing experience to get to the place unless you are on a 4WD SUV. In case you do possess one, you would have to pray to God to save you from finding an oncoming vehicle on the way. We were lucky on our onward journey but rather unfortunate on the return journey, when we had to reverse our car 3 times to harbour it to barely wider locations, to let the coming vehicles pass by. As per their estimates, we have to reckon with at least 3 kilometres of such kutcha, one-lane road. When queried about the quality of the road, they replied that since it belonged to the Forest Department, they could hardly do anything about it. A very convenient reason :). But honestly, you can ignore this "road" issue if you love a bit of adventure.
The place is indeed beautiful, scenic and well laid out. A perfect place for relaxation, if the climate is cool.(Unfortunately for us, it was quite hot throughout, except for a pleasant early morning). We checked into an independent cottage. The quality of rooms and furniture leave a lot to be desired. Even acknowledging the theme of the property, the rooms and bed could have been more cozy. The bathroom was the most disappointing. And to add to it, the bathtub had cracked as a result of which, water was not properly draining out. To put it in simple words, the room was bland.
I had a chance to see one of their wooden cottages and personally I think they were much better when compared to ours, albeit a bit smaller. Interestingly, it was also priced lower than ours! I would suggest anyone planning to go to this resort to have the wooden deluxe cottage as their priority.
The food was ok, although they could have done with a better menu. Tea and coffee are complimentary. The staff was helpful and courteous.
The place has a breathtaking view, especially if you can trek up to the top. And if you really want to escape from the outer world, you would rather have your mobiles switched off because, quite strangely, the coverage for Airtel and Idea is very good here.

Room Tip: I would suggest to check out wooden deluxe cottage first!

This resort is overall quite nice. The grounds are nice and quiet, the natural pool is lovely, and the pet geese are fun.
Our cottage was basic but ok. The hot water did not always work properly, even when the staff had a look at it.
The food was good: it was a buffet, giving us lots of choices.
However the last 3 kms to get to the resort were so difficult and took so long (about 25 mins on a tiny bumpy dirt road) that we did not feel like going out again once we arrived at the resort.
Apart from that, we had a nice stay.

If at all one wants to experience Wayand’s true beauty, this is the place to be, especially in the rainy season. Set amidst the rich flora & fauna of Wayand, Rain country strikes with its traditional houses setting.
Place is beautiful, there is a small water fall going right under the reception area & the artificial lake overlooking it. Rooms are decent, neat and clean. Food is also good. Only drawback of this place is that it’s not near any of the sightseeing places in Wayand. You need to go quite a distance to see all of them, but ideal for putting your leg up and enjoying nature

I wanted to try this place as it was suggested by my friend and went for my HM in the month of March. All I can say is this place is good for accommodation alone. Food is not good. Everyday we had sour curds, and they don't know the difference between chapati and Roti. Prices are abnormally high and they don't keep up all the promises of the package. There is no facility to say DND so expect them to knock the door at awkward times. They don't respond to emails and can't explain the split-up of exorbitant package prices.
