I got an eye infection here after a specific treatment and the doctors did not take responsibility. I wonder about the quality and the hygiene of this place. Doctors shouldn´t leave when pursuing a treatment to a patient and this could have been avoided when I was feeling bad during the treatment!

The location of this place is awesome, it is set in a very quiet place, among greenery, birds, frogs and monkey, yet it's 5 minutes walking to the center of town.

The rooms are clean, but nothing special. Beds are super hard, there's t.v. With a few English speaking channels. Amazing balcony to sit and relax. Light a candle at the evenings as there's no light on balcony.

Bad- hot water only on the morning, otherwise heater is provided for the bucket, sometimes no water.
Looks like bed sheets are not being changed - I checked out, and then returned to the same room at the evening, the beds were fixed, but with the old sheets.

Generally this place deserves 3* , but as I said, it's the best budget option therefore the relative *4

Ayurvedic massage was fine here, but then again this was my first Ayurvedic medical treatment and I have no yardstick to compare.

In kalapeta this centre is deemed affordable giving the treatment without fancy stuff. There were people from far off lands admitted here in casual observation.

The basic massage is around 900 Rs which include a steam treatment . They appointed me a young apprentice, who might lack the experience but as I said this being the first I have no yardstick to compare.

I liked this clinic very much as a place for ayurvedic treatment, as it was neither too spa-like nor too unattractive. The rooms are basic, pretty clean (not "super clean" but clean enough), have a TV, attached bathroom and a shared balcony. Wifi is also there.
The location of the clinic is great, as it is surrounded by greenery but the town is within easy walking distance. Internet cafes are available there. Since Kalpetta is in the mountains, the climate there is also nice, as it is not as hot an humid, as along the costline.

The patients are both Indians, as well as foreign tourists. During monsoon time (Jul, Aug) there will be more Indian patients, during the peak season (Dec., Jan.) I think there would be more foreigners.

The doctors (husband and wife) are very kind and always take a lot of time for their patients. They visit all patiens once per day.

The nurses are very kind and caring as well and do good massages.

The ayurvedic treatment is authentic and yoga classes are offered every day.
The ayurvedic food was the same for all patients and for me it was very tasty. But most Indian patients did not like it, as it was ayurvedic, not too spicy and vegetarian.

At the beginning of my treatment, I only had a short consultation with the doctors, focussing on my current health problems/ symptoms (chronical cold and overweight). I was not asked any further questions that you would expect in a wholistic approach. After my 3-weeks treatment I did not experience much improvement with my cold (sinus problems), however I lost 4 kilos.

Room Tip: If you take a room in the second floor (with a shared balcony), you can see monkeys and birds. The clinic is surrounded by a beautiful garden.
