There's not much to say about Turtle Bay hotel that hasn't already been said. A perfect place if you want a quiet secluded beach holiday. There is nothing to do here except to sit by the pool and read or walk along the beach. All the rooms have water views but the upper ones offer greater privacy. The staff are very attentive and friendly, like most places in Sri Lanka but be aware that nothing happens in a hurry including in the restaurant. The food is excellent and not too badly priced. Overall a delightful spot to do nothing.

Turtle Bay is a gem of a hotel, positioned at the edge of a near-perfect paradise beach. We stayed over the New Year for 5 nights and enjoyed our time in an excellent room with exceptional comfort and a balcony with incredible view. The food was consistently very good, with breakfasts excellent and a great option every night on the half board menu we were on. The staff really stood out, they were extremely friendly, attentive and hard-working, and they put on a great show for New Year’s Eve with fireworks, with a lot of effort clearly put in.

The hotel is peaceful with a beautiful pool and garden area. The beach itself is spectacular, and we hope that it remains so and that the relative lack of other hotels continues, as it makes for incredible evening walks (we spotted a kingfisher, a wild peacock, millions of hermit crabs and a dolphin!) The one down-side is that even on a calm day the sea is quite rough and difficult unless you are strong swimmer to swim in, however you can wade a bit and you always have the pool at the hotel.

Overall we highly recommend Turtle Bay, an excellent boutique option for part of a Sri Lanka holiday.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and wished that we stayed longer! The hotel lies at a secluded beach where tranquility can be found! If you climb over the rocks you will find a private beach if other hotel guests have not beaten you. Very friendly people at the hotel and the cook loves making you a great dinner of freshly catched fish of the day and in the mornings lots of fruits and pancakes and scrambled egs. The sea was a bit rough but the nice swimming pool makes all up for it!
