My wife and I have just returned home from a wonderful vacation at the Phuket Pavilions. Having stayed at Bali Pavilions last year we were looking forward to another great resort and were not disappointed.
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had a great time and found the staff at Phuket Pavilions to be very friendly and efficient and very good at handling all our requirements no matter how small.
The location of the hotel is well away from the bustling resorts of Patong and Kata etc although it only takes around 30mins to drive to Patong if you want to.
The villa we were in (No.12) was wonderful with a stylish living area, huge bathroom and a gorgeous outdoor area with a large infinity pool, small gazebo to escape the sun and plenty of room for sun loungers. The pool area was totally secluded and private with great views of Bang Tao and Layan beaches and the Andaman Sea. We had no problems with bugs etc as the villa was kept spotless by the cleaners and the resident gekkos probably kept them away too.
We hired a car (arranged by the hotel) for 1200 Baht a day and found it to be a great way of getting around the island and not have to rely on taxis. Driving was fairly easy, you just have to keep your eyes peeled to spot the numerous scooters that drive past you in all directions. With the car we managed to see most of the island and the main sightseeing points (the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong, Promthep Cape, Phuket Aquarium, Patong and the other resort areas). The car also meant we could get out and try the local restaurants which were all great and great value for money (Baan Suan Layan just a few hundred yards from the hotel, Lotus on Bang Tao beach where you can pick out your seafood before they cook it, Tawai just outside the Laguna Resort) - all serving wonderful thai food. If you visit Patong, try Red Chair No.6 just off Bangla Road which also has great thai food at very reasonable prices. There's even a great little local market in Cherngtalay (opposite Black Cat restaurant) which starts up late in the afternoon and is a great way to see where the locals go to shop for fresh fruit, seafood, clothes and authentic street food.
Back to Phuket Pavilions.... Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and very attentive staff - if you are there over the weekend, try the dim sum breakfast which we loved. All the staff were great, from the security guards to the cleaners - as soon we came back from driving anywhere a buggy was waiting to take us back to the villa before we even parked the car! Daily afternoon tea in the Verandah was a nice touch with complimentary sandwiches, cakes and scones.
We stayed for 8 nights from Sep 24 and had lots of rain over the first 2 days but then great weather after that so spent a few days driving around exploring and others relaxing by the pool and chilling out.
We both loved Phuket Pavilions and would recommend it to couples looking for a high class resort in a secluded spot with great service.

My husband and I stayed again - 2008 & 2009 (a very nice birthday pressie from my husband) thanks Andrew.

Again we were not dissapointed, the reno's are just fantastic, the brekky fantastic, - I could on and on about PP, if you want the most romantic holiday with one you love go STAY AT THE PHUKET PAVILIONS - YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Some ppl have noted bugs in there rooms, I could not see any. After all Phuket is very Tropical and hot at times - CU SOON PHUKET PAVILIONS - same great service as ALWAYS!

PS: We recommend you get the staff to organise a scooter to your villa - its fun, safe, the bike will be delivered to your villa - we got one in 2008 and 2009.

We stayed this visit for 10 nights and sooooooo worth it:)

From the moment we were picked up from the airport with the hotel limo, with a cool beer waiting in a cool box and fragrant cool towels to refresh us we knew we were in for a treat.
Every single member of staff we encountered, from bar staff to the golf buggy chauffeurs to the garden maintenance crew were genuinely friendly and happy to see you there. The villa was exceptional with the biggest private infinity pool I have ever seen. The food was excellent and spa treatments provided in your own villa were amazing and well worth the money. We were invited to a drinks reception by the hotel manager one night and were provided complimentary cocktails and canapes which were to die for. The 360 degrees bar at the top of the hill was the perfect place to chill out with some amazing views and some of the best fresh fruit cocktails I have ever had (we quite happily worked our way through the entire cocktail menu!) The worst part of the holiday was having to leave this blissful paradise, but as the manager said as he waved us off "if you don't leave you will never get to come back!". The perfect romantic honeymoon destination.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted at the front of reception with a bunch of native flowers and welcomed inside for a drink.. This was a great first impression and from that moment on we knew we were in for something special.....And we were not disappointed. This hotel and all it's staff exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the privacy of our pool in our luxurious room to the excellent service we experienced i would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to feel like they have been whisked away to their own retreat..We will be back very soon and will not stay anywhere else but Phuket Pavilions...Thankyou for making our stay magical and unforgettable..

This is a great resort for couples wanting a romantic break away to relax and refresh your relationship. If you want to, you could stay in your villa for your entire stay without seeing another guest - with room service, in room spa treatment, and, your own pool. Alternatively, there are a couple of locations onsite with amazing views where you can go to eat. There are fantastic views from the villas towards the sun setting over the Andaman Sea. The villas are huge - the bathroom alone is at least the size of the bedroom! The food is great and it is well worth having at least one cocktail and dinner at the 360 degree bar on your visit.

This was our second visit to Phuket Pavilions - the last time was 3 years ago when the resort had only been opened for about a year. On our last visit we had a Ocean View Pool Villa and we requested one of these rooms (which we received) again this time. A few improvements have been made since our last visit - not that much needed improving. The rooms have had the decor updated since our previous visit and the plants have all grown significantly.

The staff are excellent - very helpful and speak great English. It is well worth trying one of the in-room couple spa treatments as this was a special memory. We hope to visit again soon in the future!
