Beautiful grounds, kind service, modern restaurants and bar. Next to the JW Marriott, with access to those amenities as well. Loved our stay here for a long weekend. The Thai restaurant was a special experience and quite memorable. It was an experience long remembered.

Room Tip: Express what is important to you at check-in: close to an elevator, close to ocean or restaurants...

When we arrived, as we get out of the car we are greeted by 4 women staff and 2 men staff, they hand us flower each and yummy very cold ginger & lemonade drinks. Everything is just quick and easy, they didn't take us directly to the reception and sit to check in instead they ask us to go in the buggy that have stand by in the front lobby and with two staff they tooked us around the resort and show us all the facilities, which made us happy. After the sightseeing they assist us to one of the room that we can use to rest while waiting for our suite to be ready. later they rang us and took us to our suite where our bag is inside and nicely placed. The suite are clean, nice & amenities is just great! the small kitchen are equipped with a good coffee maker and few plates, cutlery, bowl ect which is handy! The lounge is spacious, and the master bedroom is just good. Bathroom is just great!
We stayed here for a week, the breakfast is just fantastic, room service was very good, sand bar food was great! The hospitality of the staff is just superb, service are quick & easy! They sure don't mock around!! We requested a nanny to look after our two boys and the hotel organize the Inhouse staff which is something good & peace of mind that you know your children are in good hand & secure! the spa is good, the facilities, building are very modern as well!
The kids club is quiet small, but the pool is good for children under 8yo. They have a mini water slide that can quiet entertain kids, however the idea of having a bush, lots of plants included wild plants are not a good idea for me. It would be more nicer if they could replace them with with nice grass to make it more clean!

We had fantastic time staying at this hotel, the only downside is the main Pool are quiet small... If you have couples, families mix together the pool is just too crowded. They could have done better by using more space towards the beach.

The beach is clean, nice sands however you can hardly swim considering the wave are strong even early in the morning

The hotel staff greeted us with a warm welcome, yummy cold drinks, and cold towels (you need those in Thailand during the hot, humid summer!). After checking us in quickly, they immediately took us in a cart to our room along with our luggage. Our room was quite nice - clean and roomy, but nothing spectacular. The entire resort is decorated in a simplistic, modern, clean style. The grounds of the resort are beautifully landscaped with tropical trees/plants throughout the complex, especially near the water feature/Loca Vore restaurant.

Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast buffet. All of the food a the buffet was delicious, especially the fried/battered sweet potatoes, pineapples, and taro pieces! They always had an egg bar where they would cook eggs any way you liked, a vegetarian area, fruit bar, smoothies, fresh juices (guava is delicious), Thai food, pastries, pancakes/crepes with topping options, and much more. For lunch, we got the sea bass at the Sandbar restaurant by the pool and it was delicious.

We were desperate for massages, so we got massages at the spa before venturing out into town or to the beach. This was a mistake - 1) there are much cheaper massages that are good by the beach of the hotel and in town, and 2) the spa is under construction, so they take you to a hotel room for your massage. The massages were good, but we got equally good massages later in the week in town for about $8 (45 minutes) instead of $60 (90 minutes) at the hotel spa.

The hotel itself is somewhat isolated (it is about a 20 minute walk along the beach to get to the JW Marriott - the next major hotel nearby). It's a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride to the nearest shopping area (Turtle Village - very small, limited stores, and quite expensive compared to shopping in other parts of Phuket). The beach is beautiful, but warning signs said not to swim due to jelly fish being spotted. The pool was nice, but slightly chilly. It was a basic pool without any room to play, so it wouldn't be the best pool for kids. I was able to swim laps, however.

This was our second stay at the Renaissance Phuket. The staff at this hotel are trained well in service, making a guest feel welcome, from the greeting at reception, to the chef at the breakfast buffet.

We were here one night prior to leaving Phuket for our travels home. I wanted to see the changes since we visited at the soft opening a couple of years ago. The greenery has grown and the grounds are now mature.

We had been in the Phuket area for nearly a month, staying in 4 other hotels. I found this hotel's pool the smallest, not able to accommodate all of the guests staying here. When we arrived our room was ready for us, around one. I changed clothes and walked to the pool.

There were no loungers at the pool or nearby. I had to take a lounger that was farther away on the lawn and move it to the shade. No one came by with water, I had to go to the bar and ask, while ice pops and water were served only to people by the pool. The flies were everywhere. You couldn't sit one minute without flies landing on you. ( I didn't experience this at any of the other 4 hotels.) Around 3pm the pool cleared a bit and we were able to grab a lounger close to the pool. The flies were such a bother, it really didn't matter where you sat.
We decided to go back to the room.

The room is large, clean and modern. The bed is super comfortable. There is a nice mini bar stocked with many items.

We went to the Sandbar for happy hour cocktails, buy one get one free. Service, as usual, was friendly and quick. One young family decided to eat their meal at the bar area, the flies wouldn't leave them alone. The father kept waving a paper over the food to try and chase the flies away. His son could care less, all he wanted to do was run and play. Perfect place for that.

The breakfast buffet area is also too small for the amount of people staying at this hotel. We went at 10am and had to wait for a table. The hostess said we could sit outside! Who wants to sit outside in the heat with the flies???? Not us. We waited about 10 minutes for an table inside. There is a wonderful selection of food items at the buffet. I ordered eggs benedict, just delicious. Fresh squeezed fruit juices, asian food, crepes, even ice cream!

If you have one of the many villas, which most of the reviews here talk about, you won't be bothered by the lack of space at the pool, as you have your own pool.

Service is great everywhere, the highlight of the resort.

I had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed with fabulous linen.

I can recommend this hotel for young trendy people, I'm just not sure I'll return.

Booked this stay site unseen from across the globe from photos on the website. I was excited about visiting Phuket for the first time & had a large group that was counting on my choice of hotel to be an excellent one...and it was! Greeted upon arrival with a cold drink, cold towel & friendly smiles, I knew I'd made the best choice! Throughout our 4 day stay, the service, food & accommodations seemed to get better & better! The only complaint was that you're at minimum 45 mins away from the main happenings in Phuket Town or Patang beach. Not a terrible thing if your goal is to get away from it all! There's a gorgeous Infiniti pool that overlooks a private beach & adjacent to the hotel property & visible from the Sandbox pool bar, you can enjoy a luxurious massage with the sound of the waves crashing in the background for the much cheaper price than the hotel spa...$400 Thai baht or $12 USD!!! Can't wait to do it all again!
