Family holiday with our 3 grown up children and a dog. Perfect location, and a great well equipped cottage to base ourselves at. The stress has fallen away.
This was a great cottage with everything you needed but I was surprised it didn't have wifi.nigel , the owner was really nice and when we arrived, he had some milk, butter tea bags and eggs , so we could have a cup of tea when we arrived.there was a good pub near the cottage called the port inn and beaches but it was too cold ,we booked a slot in December but all in all ,I highly recommend this cottage and where it was situated with good views, if you r looking for a wee break then this is it
A beautiful location with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly people and stunning views. We didn‘t require the full space but felt it would not be a squash to accommodate 6 people comfortably. The property is well equipped and comfortable. Nigel was very helpful in getting us there and showing us the accommodation.Generally clean and tidy, however certain areas could have been cleaner in the living areas (skirtings, under cushions on furniture, around windows.) Having used the patio area as an attraction, I felt it should have had the moss and soil cleared as we found we were carring dirt on shoes into the property.
This waterfront cottage in Port Bannatyne is very comfortable with lovely large bedrooms and kitchen. A welcome pack of basics such as bread, milk, butter and eggs is provided on arrival and all kitchen basics such as washing up liquid, bin bags, dishtowels etc. are supplied. The fact that there is a bedroom and shower room with toilet on the ground floor was a bonus for my elderly father who struggles with stairs. We were very impressed with the interior of the cottage, the outlook across the bay and the close proximity to Rothesay (2.5 miles away). Bus stops in both directions are very close to the cottage so you can even abandon the car as buses go to all the places of interest on the island. Great wee place.
